18.01.2022 This morning we were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of one of our artists, Susan McLeod. Susan was part of a most spectacular show with us a few years ago and it has always stuck with me as one of my most favourite shows ever. Susan was such a talented and inspiring artist. We feel very privileged to have had her work in our gallery as part of an exhibition and on consignment. I personally always enjoyed having Susan pop in to have a chat. 16.01.2022 Much appreciation goes to Caroline Gladstone, Travel Journalist for The Sydney Morning Heralds Traveller magazine. We were delighted to be included in her article on things to do in the Blue Mountains. Caroline visited the Mountains and wrote this story just prior to Covid shut down and post 2020 fires. As a business we understand tourism is necessary for our survival but we would ask when people are thinking of visiting the Mountains that they seek and adhere to the curre...nt NSW Department of Healths advice on travel and social distancing. Many businesses up here have adjusted their way of trade so that you can make purchases online or over the phone. Making a booking or purchasing a gift certificate for future use are both ways you can support Blue Mountains businesses in such a time of uncertainty. There are also many other businesses that need your support but were not able to be included in this article, please consider also supporting those businesses too. We are a registered COVID safe business and we appreciate everyones support and patience with our extra cleaning and data collection. You will also now find our front of house staff wearing masks, this is for both yours and our protection. 11.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GALLERY AND CAFE WILL BE CLOSED ON THURSDAY 31st DEC. (a day earlier than planned). At ONE88 we close early every day - just after 4pm to sanitize the art gallery and café thoroughly. Good practice considering the interesting times we are in. After today's news regarding a local C-19 case, the ONE88 management has decided that due to our high visitation to the gallery we will conduct a thorough deep clean.... We reopen on the 7th Jan (as posted previously).... This will mark the first (voluntary) week long break we have had in 5yrs+ of business.
