24.01.2022 Gallipoli home is looking for a Physiotherapist to join our team. The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing physiotherapy services to residential and community clients in order to maximise their physical potential to achieve optimum independence and quality of life. Requirements for success:... Currently registered as a registered nurse with Appropriate Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority Demonstrated Physiotherapy experience, including aged care and/or rehabilitation and experience delivering Physiotherapy in the community setting. Demonstrated computer literacy, high level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Demonstrated skill in the comprehensive assessment of older adults, and people with physical disabilities and the development of relevant care plans. 23.01.2022 Updated photos of the birds in the aviary. They're doing really well, getting ready for spring nesting. When they have paired up, either one or both birds will make a nest from things like dried grass, twigs, moss and feathers to lay their eggs in. Soon, we will have a bunch of new baby birds which the residents at Gallipoli Home are looking forward to!

18.01.2022 Gallipoli home was lucky enough to have a visit from beautiful bird Bella. Bella is a 4 month old Golden Blue Macaw, owned by a staff member at Gallipoli Home. Bella was brought in for Pet Therapy, the goal of Pet Therapy is to improve residents social, emotional and cognitive function. This was a success, as our residents adored admiring her vibrant colours.

14.01.2022 Currently we have baby birds coming out of the nests. Apart from all the baby finches we now have 3 x Baby Bourke parrots. The mother birds are the pink ones, residents enjoy watching their mothers feed them. Thank you to Con Tsintarakis from Bayview Birds and Aviaries for taking such good care of the birds. The residents absolutely love sitting outside and watching them.
