24.01.2022 S.A. Dear brothers and sisters We would like to reassure you all that the management of the Auburn Gallipoli Mosque is taking measures to ensure the safety of our jamaat. We are working closely with security consultants and the local police to ensure the Mosque is a safe place for worshippers. ... We are also pleased to report that we’ve had many in-kind donations of goods and services towards Mosque repairs following the attack. These contributions include a very generous brother who donated all the glass repairs to the Mosque. These in-kind donations, as well as contributions made directly to the Mosque, have allowed us to reduce our go-fund-me target down to $25,000. Thank you all for your continued support Jazak Allahu Khayran Allah Razi Olsun

23.01.2022 S.A. Thank you to all those who donated to our recent effort to raise funds for the funeral expenses of a Turkish brother. We are pleased to say we reached our target of $10,000, which will go towards covering the funeral expenses here in Sydney as well as transportation of the body to Turkey for burial. ... May Allah reward you all for your generous donations inshaAllah. We would like to also provide a little more information around the circumstances that lead to this fundraising effort. The brother who passed away had no family here in Australia. His family in Turkey reached out through the Turkish Consulate in Sydney, asking for help to bring his body back to Turkey for burial. It was to fulfil this call for help of a grieving family that motivated our effort, and thanks to the generous donations of our jamaat we were able to meet this challenge. Jazak Allahu Khayran Allah Razi Olsun

03.01.2022 SA! A big thank you to our jamaat who attended Eid prayers on Friday for their contribution in ensuring a COVID safe environment at our Mosque. As many of you will be aware NSW Health granted us an exemption which allowed us to cater for up to 400 patrons within the confines of the Auburn Gallipoli Mosque complex (including the iYouth Centre). This exemption was given because we were able to maintain four independent zones each with its own entry and exit, and each follow...ing a strict COVID plan. There was significant media attention to this exemption, with all major news outlets attending the Mosque during Eid prayers to report on it. Officials from NSW Health were also present to monitor the event. Thank you to those media outlets that covered the story fairly and without bias. We are pleased to say we had no issues concerning our COVID obligations and delivery of the Eid prayers and this is in no small part thanks to patience and understanding shown by you, our jamaat. We also want to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers and staff who worked hard on the morning to ensure the success of the Eid prayers. Lastly, we want to extend our appreciation to the NSW Minister for Health, The Hon. Brad Hazzard for providing the exemption which allowed many more local Muslims to take part in Eid prayers than otherwise would have been possible.
