25.01.2022 Happy Monday everyone! We know Mondays are a bit of a drag, so we decided to turn it around and take the time to share our thanks. A big shout out goes to Michael and team from Your Style Construction for all the pay it forwards we received from them. Michael gave of his own time to help with Game Citys shop fitting and he has been a big fan from day 1. Thank you also to Patricia Lim, who put $100 towards our Pay it Forward campaign. She wanted to celebrate her birthday by... doing something for someone and decided to help the recipients of our Pay it Forward program. And finally to all the customers who pay it forward on a daily basis, you are our backbone- we love you! Perth City is having a big issue with the homelessness and we are happy that we can help in some small way with the generous support of our many customers.

22.01.2022 Dear GC Fam, The virus has caused stock piling, hence creating low to no supplies of all essentials (including toilet rolls). In this season there are still many people who cannot afford them and are genuinely struggling especially the elderly and the less fortunate. Knowing the generous spirit of our community, we have decided to start a Shop and Share Food Drive - in conjunction with Foodbank (these guys rock!). 22.01.2022 Happy New Year to you all! Being the first post of the year, I want to reflect a little on the year that has gone. One of my highlights is the generosity that our customers have shown. I am truly thankful for everyone who has got involved with Paying It Forward (to make someones day brighter) or donating collectibles to our little space. I feel that Game City for our customers is not only a place you go to but also a community you are part of.... All of our Pay It Forward post it notes are special, so we have created a display of these in Game City that we would love for you to look at (massive thank you to Jun for helping me create it). 12.01.2022 Dear GC Fam, We really miss you! I want to give you an update on how Game City is travelling and our plans for the next few months. Like most other businesses we have had a big drop in sales. At this current time, I have decided to keep the doors open, to continue to serve customers who are still working in the city. It has been heart warming to personally receive gratitude from the community, but also so many have continued to pay large sums of money forward to those who a...re doing it tough. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this. I am truly proud of our generous Perth community. Our plans at this stage is to keep running, until we are asked to close by the government. With our Pay it Forward program, I would like to start a side arm where we can bless the essential services staff with a cup of barista made coffee. This would include: - Police they are keeping us safe Ambulance Service who are keeping the emergency services running Hospital staff - who are looking after our sick, they are our frontline carers This would involve them being able to pick up a free coffee from our store, and we are also looking at how we can drop coffees off to Royal Perth Hospital. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions or contacts who can assist, please let me know. More details to follow. I believe we will all come out of this COVID season, kinder, stronger and more generous. 08.01.2022 Dear GC Fam Hope you all are well. I wanted to keep you updated on the some of the staffing changes at GC. Our lovely kitchen staff member Zera has left Perth for Taiwan after being with us for over a year. We will miss her!... We have had 3 lovely ladies replace this position: Lucy, Natasha and Laura. They are settling in well. Xavier had an unfortunate injury and is recovering. We are hoping to have Xavier back soon. In the meantime we have Nick helping us out on the coffee machine. It takes time for staff get used to our GC ways- so please be patient with us . I am grateful for all the help I have and the support of our fabulous customers.
