Up to four can play, as you bounce balls around to destroy bricks above. Dont let them past you, powerups abound and gravity has an impact (see what I did there?) which is unusual for this genre. Casual local multiplayer fun!

Backyard Cricket is an interesting title I got to experience today - think a VR batting simulation with backyard cricket rules. 20.01.2022 Hi guys, I had some trouble posting from AVCON today, Ill put up some panorama vids later.

20.01.2022 Aaaaand now... Drumroll please! THE INDIE GAME OF THE CON!*... LETHAL LAWNS! Lethal Lawns is a... is a... I cant believe Im typing the next three words in sequence, here goes: Lethal Lawns is a... competitive mowing bloodsport. Yeah, that is a strangely difficult thing to say. Anyway, in this local multiplayer title, you earn money by mowing grass - and if you defeat your opponent with the fast moving and sharp part of your mower, you get any money they have earned as well. The defeated gardener almost immediately respawns to rejoin the fray. Whoever has the most cash at the end of the time wins. Fast and frenetic, with tons of personality, quirky risks (fast-moving cars provided many laughs) and little downtime, this fantastic title would work well in the Game Truck... if it wasnt aimed at adults and absolutely covered in buckets of blood. Still, the violence doesnt look realistic, and I had a word with the developer who is thinking of introducing optional settings to make the characters zombies with green blood or (my suggestion) stuffed toys that get mowed into fluff. So part of my new thing is to promote and develop Dads Groups in Adelaide and South Australia. 10.01.2022 My son Kev the Scout hanging with a bloke we met Alex the Sniper. Apparently there was a TF2 family wandering around with a Medic, a Heavy, and Engineer (with a little baby turret) a Pyro and a Demoman! If only we all saw each other, all we would have been missing was a Spy! Sadly it wasnt to be, but thats what can happen at AVCON!

Super Strikers is due for release on Steam in four days - its a turn-based soccer RPG in which experience can be spent on upgrades and special and amazing skills. 07.01.2022 The soon-to-be-released Witch Thief was high on my agenda to play before the con, and I got my chance to get hands-on with this beast today! The animation is slick in this third-person bullet hell shooter - this game would be worth playing simply for the amazing feeling of controlling the aforementioned lady as she glides over the terrain, feet never touching the ground - its a magical touch right from the start - but theres so much more on offer here! Not only do your sp...ells protect you from attacks - they gather the enemies projectiles and hurl them back from whence they came! A satisfying product from the prolific and talented Aussie independent game designer Cardboard Keep! Another developer to keep an eye on...
