19.01.2022 We have the opportunity to live in the spirit of reconciliation on a daily basis. This is about truth, this is about sharing stories, this is about keeping this country the wonderful country that it is that is the spirit of reconciliation. Bill Wilson, Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna man. Ganbara and Academy Services joined to celebrate National Reconciliation Week. #NRW2020 #InThisTogether
18.01.2022 It was excellent to work with our capacity partner Academy Services at a cultural awareness training session as part of #NRW2020.
18.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came along to our NAIDOC Week celebrations yesterday. And...a big thank you to Isaac Hannam for performing the Welcome to Country. #NAIDOC #NAIDOCWeek #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #KaurnaYerta
18.01.2022 Today’s the beginning of National Reconciliation Week a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and where we need to go as a nation. As a company, Ganbara supports Indigenous workforce participation and improving the social and economic prosperity of Indigenous people in the communities in which we operate. We look forward to being part of the reconciliation journey.
17.01.2022 Today we pay our respects to all Australian servicemen and women, past, present and future, who have served our country’s defence forces. We pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Lest We Forget. CLICK to learn more about Australia’s Indigenous soldiers: http://ow.ly/HPcN50zm5nr
16.01.2022 Near misses are a pet topic of ours at Ganbara because safety is our first priority. By reporting near misses today our staff are reducing the injuries of tomorrow. Our staff are trained to ‘See it. Report it. Sort it’: 1. Spot a near miss or hazard. 2. Immediately tell their manager. Complete a Near-Miss Report.... 3. Prevent accidents from happening by taking safe and appropriate action. We all must take responsibility for the safety of others, to ensure everyone returns safe to their families after each working day.
16.01.2022 Adelaide's InDaily shared the great news about Marius Liddle's appointment to Ganbara Facility Services in its corporate appointments column this week. We're excited to have Marius on board, bringing significant expertise and capacity to the company.
16.01.2022 It's appropriate that during #NAIDOC Week we share our webpage's fresh new look. Great work by Jordan Lovegrove, a Ngarrindjeri man, of Karko Creations, who has brought some life and colour to our page. https://ganbara.com.au/
15.01.2022 It’s great to see our staff rewarded for a great job. A client was so happy, they provided a morning tea for our on-site team members, along with this lovely feedback: All the cleaners have been doing a wonderful job of keeping our building spotless through recent difficult months. Please pass on thanks and words of encouragement to them for the long months ahead.
15.01.2022 As National Reconciliation Week 2020 begins, Ganbara and our capacity partners would like to acknowledge the Kaurna peoples as the traditional custodians of the Adelaide Plains region, where our head offices are based. We respect their spiritual relationship with their Country and acknowledge their Elders past, present and emerging. We would also like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the many lands across Australia and their connection to land and community. We pay our respects to them, their cultures and to Elders past, present and emerging. #NRW2020 #InThisTogether2020
13.01.2022 As the COVID situation evolves and develops, we are seeing the ongoing transformation of cleaning and public hygiene strongly in focus. Automated cleaning processes are starting to work their way into the public's consciousness, but it is also interesting to see safe, new ways of providing infection control coming to the fore. The use of UV light reminds us of the old maxim that "sunshine is the best disinfectant".
12.01.2022 Along with our capacity supplier Academy Services, we are proud to partner with AccessEAP to offer our employees access to a support mechanism that values and supports Aboriginal culture.
09.01.2022 With Remembrance Day falling during #NAIDOC Week, we acknowledge the Indigenous men and women who have served or lost their lives in the Australian military. Remembrance Day commemorates the end of World War I in 1918, a conflict in which it is estimated 1000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders participated. Among those were 34 men who fought at Gallipoli, 12 of whom died. We will remember them.... #LestWeForget

03.01.2022 Through bushfires and a pandemic, we've been reminded that everything in our buildings is connected - which is why facilities management of HVAC, waste removal and cleaning are critical services. This article discusses the role of indoor air quality in building health.
02.01.2022 As NAIDOC Week closes, we’re proud to have celebrated this special occasion across our sites nationally. Ganbara General Manager Marius Liddle and Academy Services Chief Executive Officer James Pollock encouraged and supported staff to participate in their own way. On Wednesday, we hosted a lunch with delicious delicacies prepared by Tauondi Aboriginal College and we were enthralled with the yidaki performance from Isaac Hannam of Kuma Kaaru. We congratulate the NAIDOC awar...d winners and are especially proud that one of our suppliers, Anthony Wilson from Nood Australia, received the Naidoc South Australia Business of the Year Award. Well done, Anthony! As we reflect on the origins of NAIDOC, it’s important that we also look to the future and how we continue to support reconciliation. We all have a role to play in this process and we encourage everybody to consider how they can contribute. See more
02.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 is here! The 2020 theme, ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ is a reminder that our First Nations peoples have occupied and cared for this country for thousands of years. This week we’ll be celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, culture and history and encourage our clients, suppliers and partners to get involved. ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ acknowledges this nation’s story began at the dawn of time and didn’t begin with documented European conta...ct. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers, first artists and first educators. Check out an event that’s happening in your area here: https://www.naidoc.org.au/get-involved/naidoc-week-events #NAIDOC #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC2020
