22.01.2022 We are now open at 27 College Crescent, St Ives. Same staff, same management, new name as we are now part of Camp Gan Izzy. All our families have come across with us. 97 Killeaton Street is no longer our address, which will ultimately become part of an Aged Care facility through Arcare. We have been serving the St Ives community as Ganeinu now for over 11 years, and as Camp Gan Izzy - Ganeinu we will continue to offer quality early childhood education and care for the St Ives community from our new location. 21.01.2022 Our preschoolers enjoyed their recent excursion to the Ku-ring gai Wildflower garden. After their bush walk, they had the opportunity to plant some young seedlings as part of the garden's bush land regeneration program

21.01.2022 Today we were pleased to welcome the RFS Belrose to Ganeinu. Our children (and educators) took the opportunity to climb aboard the fire truck and even operate the hoses, after hearing from the fire chief. It was a great way to highlight community workers and in particular volunteering to our children, with one of the Ganeinu dads part of the brigade. Thanks Belrose Rural Fire Brigade

18.01.2022 Happy ANZAC Day for Sunday. Enjoy the poppies created by some of our preschool children this week and the recipe for ANZAC cookies, which all the children really enjoyed making, and of course eating as a special treat shared with their families....that was the plan, anyway! Ingredients 1 cups plain flour 1 cup rolled oats... cup brown sugar cup white sugar cup dessicated coconut 2 tablespoons golden syrup or treacle 150g unsalted butter, chopped teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 1 tablespoon hot water Method 1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees C & line 2 cookie trays 2. Place the flour, oats, sugars & coconut in a large bowl and stir to combine. In a small saucepan, place the golden syrup and butter, stirring over low heat until the butter has melted. Remove from heat. 3. Mix the bicarbonate of soda with the water and add to the golden syrup mixture. It will form bubbles whilst stirring. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix until fully combined. Roll 2-3 tablespoons of mixture into balls and place on the lined baking trays, leaving plenty of space between each one. 4. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven & press firmly down with a flat bottomed glass in order to produce a uniform cookie. Place bake into the oven for another 4 minutes, or until golden brown. Enjoy!

15.01.2022 Today we close our doors at 6pm for the last time at 97 Killeaton Street (cnr Mona vale Rd) in St Ives. The staff and management of Ganeinu look forward to joining our big brothers at sisters at Camp Gan Izzy at 27 College Crescent in our new premises. Though we will miss this magical place, we look forward to a bright new future off the main road and amongst the trees and once we settle in, we'll share photos and update our website with insights into our new environment.
