I lost my mum to dementia after two years in care, my step-mum has dementia, and my dad is her full time carer. It is a terrible disease, and my aim i...s to help raise awareness in two areas of dementia; 1. How to recognise the early signs of dementia in loved ones, friends, neighbours and colleagues, and 2. How to prevent dementia in yourself and your loved ones, as unfortunately, once dementia is diagnosed, there is no turning back. 14.01.2022 Wow! What a year it has been Here in south east New South Wales, we copped the double whammy of bushfires, followed by COVID. Now, there is not much I can say about this year that hasnt already been said, so instead I want to share with you a happy little story about our window of opportunity that we had between these two crises. Our Snowy Mountains Adventure had been in the planning for 12 months and was scheduled to depart 23 February. During and after the devastating bus...hfires in January, we were a little bit worried that our guests may have wanted to cancel. But alas, not one of our 24 fabulous guests called to cancel! The bushfire danger had passed, and they all wanted to come and support the small businesses of the Snowy Mountains that had lost most of their summer income. We were all very, very grateful. And what ensued was an absolutely fabulous tour, and our longest and biggest yet! In conjunction with Liam and Alison from Connect Coaches in Gosford, we put together 7 days and 6 nights of mountains, museums, chairlift rides, shows, gardens, great food, silly hats, and even helicopter rides! 09.01.2022 Check out this cute little Mountain Pygmy Possum that Jenni from Altitude Images found amongst some towels up in Thredbo! The Mountain Pygmy Possum adult averages 40g in weight and 12cm in body length. It is the only Australian mammal found solely above the snowline in winter, and it actually depends on the insulating effect of the snow for its survival when it hibernates for up to seven months. #ganggangtours #eniorstravel #HolidayHereThisYear

01.01.2022 Day 3 of our #SnowyMountainsAndValleysTour was all about the Tumbarumba Region! Boggy Creek Shows was a fantastic 2 hours of horsemanship, working dogs, sheep shearing and curious characters on horseback, all with a large dose of comedy! Lunch at Nest - Cinema:Cafe:Books was rated #1 eatery of the tour by my guests, and we finished the day with an apple orchard tour at Mouats Farm in Batlow.
