03.01.2022 Bark paintings are elaborate ancestral paintings considered appropriate for the public domain. The fine line work ( rarrk) and figurative images of plants and animals have meaning related to particular narrative. On the left of these three close-up images are Tom Djumburpur’s olive python (witiitj), belonging to the Widumin clan country. We are working on getting our valuable collection of #barkpainting online. Watch this space !
