20.01.2022 After the showers today we walked up to Gapfed cafe. Thank you so much for supporting us to help make a huge change. It was the first time William had come in for support and he was thrilled to be able have a shower and a meal. We couldn’t do this without you

11.01.2022 Wow! We were overwhelmed by the amount of support and donations we received when we first announced the pay it forward system with the Gapfed cafe, and thankfu...lly we’ve been able to hand out almost 600 meals in 7 weeks to our vulnerable community during these trying times. Paula and Greg have done an amazing job at ensuring all the meals are nutritious and filling. Gapfed had been unfortunately forced to close during the pandemic but reopened a few weeks ago and is now open 7 days a week. Monday Friday 7am-4pm, Saturday 8am-1pm, Sunday’s 9am-1pm which is wonderful! However, we are need of that community spirit again. At present we have enough funds to provide meals for another 4 weeks only. We are asking for financial donations to keep this system going, donations as small as 50 cents can go a long way to ensuring someone gets to eat tonight! We understand not everyone has the ability to lend a financial hand, if you would like to help out in other ways, please check out our page, hit like and share to your friends. We are also always accepting donations of toiletries and our open drop off point is Bendigo Bank Carrum Downs.
