17.01.2022 (Position is weekly casual ongoing) As the right person for this job, you have pride in the appearance of the place you are responsible for. You enjoy working independently outdoors and welcome the potential of being a critical asset to improving the grounds experience for guests. This role is responsible for keeping and improving the lawns, gardens, outdoor lighting and water features of Gap View hotel and campground, working with external contractors when required. Each day... you will reset the venue, making it fresh, straightened and tidy for new guests. The role also assists the functions and hotel managers with setup and moving of furniture as required. Duties - Lawn maintenance and improvement - Garden maintenance and improvement - Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and misters - Construction and maintenance of garden walls and other fixtures - Maintenance of grounds lighting - Maintenance of water features - Maintenance of related plant and equipment - Daily outdoor venue reset including furniture, blowing and other tasks - Reporting faults and seeing through job completion with contractors - Setting up for functions and other events as directed - Other tasks as directed - Maintaining pools and pumps if skilled

13.01.2022 Note to our community: Turning 18 is an important milestone for many, celebrating it with family and friends a tradition. Gap View Hotel does not host 18th celebrations of any type. They expose our business to unacceptable risks. This is not a new policy and it is based on over 40years experience owning and managing licensed venues in Australia.... Licensed venues are held to a much higher standard than the rest of the community and the trust and responsibility licensees carry is scrutinised by that same community. Our staff upholding this policy have been pressured, abused on the phone, threatened with social media bullying and lied to by people demanding to book 18th celebrations. Be advised, no matter how entitled you feel - if you breach hotel policies, you will be asked to leave without a refund.
