TransLink's busways can deliver more than 18,000 customers ev...ery hour to their destinations in peak periods. Buses in general traffic can carry up to 1,600 passengers an hour. What's more there are more than 29 kilometres of busway which includes 27 stations and 20 tunnels and more than 72 million trips are made on busways each year.

When you are driving in a built-up area where the speed limit is 70 km/h or less and you are in the left hand lane, left line of traffic or in a bicycle lane, you must give way to a bus if it: - displays a give way to buses sign on its rear right-hand side; and - is signalling to enter traffic, and: - is stationary or moving slowly, entering from a bus zone, bus stop, or bus stop bay or far left side of the road.
