21.01.2022 If succulents aren’t your thing, here’s another simple way of growing plants which is trending at the mo - growing in glass with just water. It looks fantastic and is so easy, just take a cutting of a suitable plant, pop it in a jar of water and wait! Change the water weekly until it develops roots then change it occasionally. It will begin to grow as the roots grow. Once the roots are well grown, you can half fill the jar with clean gravel, bluemetal or decorative stones for another kind of look. Some suitable plants are diffenbachia, peace lily, pothos, moses-in-a-basket, wandering jew, devils ivy, english ivy, jade... Google more options and give it a go. By the time our Garden Funraiser comes along, you will have a bevy of bottled plants.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone, our Church and Parish Centre will be closed from Midnight tonight, Saturday 24 April to Tuesday 27th April or till further notice due to government lockdown instruction. No Masses, confession or parish group meetings will be held during these three days. For those of you who are planning to drop off any plants or craft items this weekend for our Garden Fair, please wait till the lockdown has lifted. Thank you for your understanding. Stay safe everyone!

12.01.2022 We have many people who are potting plants: fruit trees, frangipani, indoor plants, succulents, vines, herbs and garden favourites of all kinds. Thankyou! Now is the time to take cuttings and get them into pots so that they have time to grow. Thank you to Deb Laidler who is co-ordinating the craft section, Chris Lambert who has offered his skills to co-ordinate the cafe and a new parishioner, Julia Chiam, who is co-ordinating the children’s activities. It’s going to be a great day!

06.01.2022 So many creative ideas keep coming in. Here’s another one! Do you have old toy trucks at home that we could use to copy this? Please bring them in!

06.01.2022 Now that the festivities are over, we have had more people contacting us to let us know what they are potting up at home. Thank you! Some have shared by sending photos - we love to see your efforts. Are you potting? Let us know! Not a gardener? Then tell someone who you know who loves to garden about our Funraiser, and ask them to help. Gardeners love to share! We are going to share some of the photos we have been receiving over the next few months. Please let your friends and family know about this page so we can get the word out there. We love this fabulous Fishbone Fern sent in by one of our band of happy potters.
