25.01.2022 Stabilising an embankment behind an Apartment today. We've chosen Ealeocarpus eumundii to screen off the fence behind. Being a compact bushy rainforest small tree they will send out a matt of roots rather than a tap root helping to stabalise the bank. Their shiny leaves will add some 'gloss' to an otherwise bush setting. We have used a mix of Liriope mascari and Lomandra Little Pal interplanted in rows to help prevent the mulch from moving in heavy rains.... With a few months of growth it will not only look fantastic but stabilise the embankment. #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

25.01.2022 Pick up for a Soft Landscape Project today to privatise 2 Units from a road view. #gardenstaging #besaleready

25.01.2022 If anybody would like these 2 planter boxes please feel free to take them. They're outside 67 Collins St, Woody Point. I've had them for years and they are grea...t for growing veggies in. I have no room for them now. They are fairly light to move and made from old plastic drums cut in half with a wooden frame made for sturdiness. Please take!

25.01.2022 Massive 1000m2 Block with Bush Garden now ready for sale. It was all about a Canopy Lift and a good clean out with a couple of m2 of Tea Tree mulch to dress. Looks 100% better than it did although hard to tell in the photos.... #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #Realty

22.01.2022 Hi All, Herb Verges Redcliffe FB Page has been created so that Residents of Redcliffe can be encouraged to try their hand at Kerbside Gardening... perfect for t...hose with less space! Moreton Bay Regional Council (MBRC), passed Verge Gardens in the last 18 months to 2 years. Since then, there have been some popping up around the Peninsular and would be great to connect and 'GROW' the concept. The benefits are huge..... here are just some! * Being able to pick your own herbs and veggies from your footpath. * General Public being able to moderately use from your Herb Verge. * People swapping produce. * Growing a sense of Community around Herb Verges. * Showing the Kids where Local Food can originate from, rather than the Shopping Centre Shelves. * Increasing Biodiversity in your soil. * Feeding Bees, beneficial insects and Native Fauna. * Getting Back to Basics.... and the list goes on! There are some basic By-laws surrounding getting started and ongoing Management of Verge Gardens laid out by MBRC, however it is an easy application process. https://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au///Road-Verge-Landscaping Please post your photos, knowledge, updates etc so we can all benefit. We are not really into a long list of RULES, we just expect that if you are engaging with this page.... You Show RESPECT to others. Get Herb Verging!!

20.01.2022 Been a busy week for Staging of Gardens for Open Homes this week! Just managed to finalise a Home at 16 Landbury St, Bald Hills this morning in time for Photo Shoot on Monday. It ALWAYS pays to dress with a nice mulch. In this case we've used Tee Tree Mulch.... It's nice and pourous to let water through to the soil, it's light so as not to compact soil, termite deterrent and it looks fantastic! Good luck with the Sale Jaqui!! #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

18.01.2022 Thank you to ALL of our Clients that have kept up our services to date in these trying times! Being a Small Business we really appreciate it. As we face almost certain lock down, we don't yet understand what impact this will have on outdoor home services. A few things to note at this stage as Garden Staging moves to keep its Clients as safe as possible........ 1. We provide outdoor Gardening Services so Customer contact is not necessary. We can still smile and wave through the window! 2. Any extra jobs needed can be discussed via phone or email. 3. We will continue to Invoice and restrict cash handling as much as possible. 4. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of being laid off... before cancelling services alltogether, please contact us, we may be able to work somthing out. Just speak with us. After our late Summer and Autumn rains, growth is not slowing and being at home more, you will still want to enjoy your yard more than ever. Let's work through this and keep the great relationships we have built... be it through the window, via the internet or over the phone. Health and Wellbeing to all!.

18.01.2022 Finishing off a Project from yesterday. Client's garden had the Winter Blues so we created an Annual Bed up one side and filled it with Daisy's, Petunias and Pansies for a splash of colour. More Annual Beds to create next visit.... Front Garden looking very poor so we've ripped out all the Agave's and planted a mix of Tibouchina, Ixoras and Gazania for ground cover and all year colour. Give it a couple of months growth and it will settle in quite well! Don't forget those gaps in your Garden, they can all be filled. Off to the next project at Bracken Ridge for a good clean out and another couple of beds to be planted. #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

17.01.2022 If you a looking to screen a narrow space, you can't go past Syzigium Select. A thick and fast Lilly Pilly that grows in a columnar shape, they will pretty much look after themselves! #gardenstaging ... #besaleready #openhomes #realty See more

15.01.2022 O.K. so getting there at home between jobs! Path around H2O Tank complete with Sandstone now, awaiting native grasses, birds of paradise and the Pandorea Climber pictured. Next,,,, to complete the Fire Pit Zone!... #besaleready #gardenstaging #realty #openhomes

15.01.2022 Some regeneration pruning on a Loquat Tree today. Took about 3 hours including Tip run but is now breathing alot easier. We started by taking all vertical Water Shoots off as they sap energy and are of no use for fruiting. Following that we took out all cross branches to create an open crown and decrease risk of disease by branches rubbing and allowing good air flow.... All dead wood and improperly healed scar tissue from a poor pruning before as well as storm damage has been removed. It is now a nicely shaped open crowned symmetrical tree! Just awaiting the Spring Rains to give it a kick! #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

15.01.2022 A tidy up of some problem areas for a Client today. An really, lovely Elderly couple who look after me like I'm their own. They couldn't bare the sight of me sweating it out in the heat so they made me wear this pink towel around my neck.... I then caught them filling up my water bottle with cold water from their fridge!! Quite frail and not getting around so well, they are still showing simple acts of kindness that make this crazy world go 'round. It's always a pleasure doing Business with them. #gardenstaging

15.01.2022 Today' Plant selection required very hardy plants for a full sun, often neglected garden. This garden below will need a complete clean out remulch and some new fillers. In order of photos we have chosen....... 1. Nandina domestic to fill out the front of the garden. Very hardy and will tolerate a range of soil types. 2. For the left of driveway we will use Euphorbia Ascot Rainbow for its variegation and tolerance of almost ALL condition, front planted with Lomandra glauca, a silver blue upright, tough native grass. They will blend perfectly! 3. We have used Syzigium australe 'Blaze' which will grow to about 3 metres to privatise a front bedroom window. Lots of pruning and mulching out the back aswell to get this one ready for sale! #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

14.01.2022 All manual pruning tools, thoroughly cleaned, sharpened, adjusted and lubricated ready for the Spring growth. Remember if you are pruning from one plant to the next, it's prudent to spray sheers and secatuers with alcohol to prevent any disease being transferred through the garden. Good, sharp, clean cuts just above a node will ensure Pruning Paint does not need to be used. Plants have their own mechanisms to heal and immediately begin forming protective cells around the cut.... The cleaner the cut, the easier for the plant to heal. Keep your tools clean and sharp, it not only provides a better cut, it certainly makes thd job easier. Nothing worse than going to a job and seeing frayed stripped branches from the pruning before! #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

14.01.2022 Yesterday's Open Home Garden Staging Project at Keperra was long and hot, however it came up a treat for a relatively small block. Not to mention my Landscape Suppliers from Samford turned up with 3m3 of SOIL instead of Cypress Mulch!! Lucky I picked it before Offload otherwise it would have been some heavy shovelling work for someone... not me. To finish off the Client has chosen to Pressure Wash all Paths, Patios and Driveway.... She'll then - Be Sale Ready! #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

13.01.2022 As promised, a couple of progress shots of the Fire Pit Zone. Railway Sleepers are solidly in, weed matting down and Fire Pit (Massive Wok) roughly in place. Oxidized metal Screens broken with a column hedge to soften down the right hand side to hide the Compost Zone and a small Shade Tree to go in front right corner.... A cut out frame of some sort will go over a bold colour on the front of the shed. Finished off with Paving and 75mm Sandstone Pebbles. Glad I'm not doing this job in Summer! #gardenstaging #besaleready

12.01.2022 Well, with Open Homes now operating again, dont forget your presentation! We are seeing a bit of a drop in the Market in some areas however analyst's say the recovery should be swift. Even so, it is now more important than ever to present your Property so potential Purchases can see its true value. ... If you want to achieve true price for your Property, show its True Value through space and presentation. It will make all the difference! Good luck to Buyers, Vendors and Agents with the upcoming Season. #gardenstaging #besaleready #realty #openhomes

11.01.2022 Quoting and Plant Selection day today. 3 quotes on today. 1 for a Soft Re-Landscape of a Pool area...... 1 for a Townhouse Garden Makeover.... And 1 for a Pre-Sale Staging. The Nursery Visits and plant selection are one of my most favourite parts of the Business! I get to use my knowledge and creativity and envisage the Client's new space. #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

10.01.2022 What a place to stop for lunch.... a few hundred metres from home! Couldn't help noticing the display the Gazanias are putting on at the moment. You'll also notice them through the Margate Oxley Ave strip. I snuck in a photo of a Pink Pigface too.... because it had a Bee having a feed or collecting pollen more precisely!... #gardenstaging

09.01.2022 Dig working with Top Soil! Lovely to spread, smells fantastic and the end result, if done properly looks great. Had to backfill a new driveway and level front lawn this week. 15m2 of couch will finish this off nicely!... #gardenstaging #besaleready #openhomes #realty

09.01.2022 Selection time!

08.01.2022 'The Great Annual Bamboo Cull'!!

08.01.2022 Lools like there's alot of great local sharing/swapping going on here I have a FB Page Herb Verges Redcliffe for anyone interested in Verge Gardens. Idea being... to bring people together on a page who are specifically interested in creating Edible Verge Gardens and looking to do Verge Swap Days where we can rotate the host of the Verge Garden to swap/share produce and begin to build a Local Seedbank. I've put up a couple of photos of mine, very young at present but growing. I've just ordered a Hawiian Guava Tree to put in. We have a Share Shelf on the fence as well. Anyone is welcome to snip herbs from ours as needed and we now have 4 houses in our Street leaving produce out for people. If you have some interest, head on over to Herb Verges Redcliffe and leave us a like. Hopefully we can turn the digital part of this into something more.

07.01.2022 After a couple of months of feeling very exposed.... we now have a new fence which allows me to focus on finishing Landscaping the backyard! This fence will be hidden by Lilly Pilly 'Select' which grows in a columnar fashion with no, or very little pruning. We will need about 8 to 10 through here for desired effect. Lilly Pilly??? I hear some people say. They're boring or they're overused!!... There's a reason or 10 they might be a bit overused..... 1. Native 2. Little maintenance 3. Fast growing 4. Bird attracting 5. New varieties are Pysillid resistant 6. Shiny, glossy leaves 7. Adaptable to most soil types 8. Relatively hardy and drought resistant once established 9. Attract bees 10. Goju-Ryu... the ability to soften the hard So there's 10 reasons why Lilly Pilly's are so popular! #gardenstaging

05.01.2022 Hello Again! With all of my focus on the Herb Verge, Entry and Front Garden, now it' time for @gardenstaging to finalize the Backyard. Thanks to the last few months, construction is well underway with alot of work to do!... My 'Masterpiece' will include both Summer and Winter Rooms for all year entertainment. The area will be fully landscaped with BBQ and a Bullet Smoker area adjoining the deck and under the shade of my favourite Tree, Eleaocarpus grandis, OR, Blue Quandong. Paved pathways finished with 50mm Sandstone will lead around the yard to ajoin the zones and be shown off by some beautiful green turf. The most exciting piece will be the 20m2 Firepit Zone complete with Oxidized Metal Screens, Column Hedges, Built in seating and individual seating complete with sandstone, adjustable heating zones and a small shade tree. I'm sure the wetting will be Grand with a warm fire, slow cooked smoked meat and slaw and possibly a beer or two. Stay tuned for progress shots! #gardenstaging #besaleready

04.01.2022 Glad that project is over!! 72 Bamboo Culms at an average of 12m a cane.... Yes that's 864 metres of Bamboo cut, carted, cut again loaded and unloaded. ... Just shy of 1 Klm end on end and approximately 432 cuts with a reciprocating saw.... needless to say I'm stuffed with a few injuries!

04.01.2022 With the recent 50-60mm of rain we have had, NOW is the time to keep that moisture in the ground to enhance Spring Growth. 01.01.2022 Snakes are on the move come spring time. I accendently 'handled', pulled this one out of a garden today while removing old dead grass under some Camelias. The 'Dwarfed-Crowned Snake' relies more on its showy bluff than its weak venom and is a relunctant biter.... Keep an eye out while gardening, they are starting to move about! Prominent in suburban gardens accross SEQ. #gardenstaging #besnakeready
