19.01.2022 Sometimes plants have to be removed due to overplanting..these Giant Strelitzias (Bird of Paradise) were taking over..such a small narrow garden..so their removal will allow other plantings to flourish ..and will reduce further damage to the bedding structure...spacing looks more fresh in a small backyard space... I hedged other shrubs and grasses to create a little sense of formality also..all very homely and a neat presentation now ..

15.01.2022 I haven't had to stop working during the pandemic...no close contact with my clients..just smiles and waves from windows..some images of this beautiful property I have been submersed in this week...first pic features the Silver Curry Bush.. I plant it more for the visual..but it is handy for culinary purposes and the aroma is so fresh particularly featured at entrances...the weather is divine to toil in atm...although some more rain now would be nice ...

15.01.2022 I worked alongside 2 strapping blokes to begin the declutter of this property today..the back overgrown too..we are aiming for simplicity..nice lawn..very tidy..clean lines...minimal plantings...looks so much better already... Fresh mulch..paths and pavers cleaned..will shine..should be finished in 2 more days

13.01.2022 Hopefully this planting of Petunia 'waterfall mix' and Torenia will convince my client that this big ol cement pot is worth keeping...she dislikes that it is stained and cracked..(in a couple of weeks the cascading plants will conceal it anyway)...I love the weathered mortar more than new and shiny...it was left behind when my clients purchased this 7 acre property..and i believe it is good 'feng shui' to relove and save something of past presences... Her Husby and I planted 100 trees/shrubs in the last 2 days..creating a very formal entrance... hedges of 'Murraya' and 'Spartan' Conifers backed with Magnolia 'Little Gem'..a classy combination...one with fragrance too..now just hoping this rain that is forecast will indeed arrive

13.01.2022 My companions for the past 2 mornings whilst working at the very grand Carinya Homestead..from left to right we have Scuzi..Butch and little Missy... I feel safe when they are with me in the paddock dumping rubbish..(snakes my main fear)..the company of dogs makes me so happy...Butch is almost totally blind so I have to tap at the buggy opening so he knows where to jump in..the main thing is they guard their property..and indeed Gladys and Vince (the owners) with their very lives

12.01.2022 So much gorgeousness to fit in to this post..one of my most 'pristine' gardens..I work on this property every 3 months for about a week each time... Pruning..feeding..mulching..weeding..ready for the Spring Season upon us now.. And I wish my clients knew... The pure joy they bring... So good to me..all of them..... When I arrive all the dramas of life's existence are erased..there is a job to do..and my heart races like that of a small child...and i become lost in the beauty of it all.. See more

10.01.2022 Awesome to renovate this backyard space today...a bountiful source of 'rusty treasure' to utilize...a beautiful timber fence for a backdrop..and a gorgeous Bulldog called Henry...so fortunate to work for lovely like-minded clients who I have known for a very long time...

08.01.2022 This is the huge growth i am addressing at every one of my gardens..so each one is taking longer than normal time frame...I am behind schedule..doing the very best I can..have had lots of new clients ringing needing assistance..but I can only manage the 50 permanent gardens I have been servicing for years...

06.01.2022 We needed a 'hero' centrepiece for this garden reno..I grabbed my client and said 'we're going to the dump shop'.. And there it was..this beautiful old chest..we added a horseshoe and padlock embellishment..all lined with plastic inside to help with longevity... Will feature a before and after pic of the garden in its entirety when the new plantings are flourishing...

04.01.2022 I discovered some 'die back' in some of the shrubs as I trimmed and shaped each one..but considering how dry it is..this garden still looks beautiful...all the loving care and watering my client provides.. have taken this video today of the garden areas that encompass the close perimeter of her home..hardly a weed exists..and always topping up the mulch..
