06.01.2022 Some of the raised beds going out today.

05.01.2022 Display area starting to come together! I planted another couple of passionfruit on the other side of the arch. I'm a big one for repurposed, upcycled materials. I found an old clothes rack and chicken mesh to make the trellis at no cost. Still a way to go but it's coming together.

04.01.2022 Another beautiful raised garden bed pictured sent in by a customer. They look amazing Kerri.

04.01.2022 Biggest problems we face in the NT with our gardens are termites! But how do we get rid of them naturally without using poisons such as Termidor around our veggies? Keeping an eye out for signs of a nest are crucial, such as mud/ dirt trails traveling up the sides of your house or beds. Since I use H3 treated timber my beds remained untouched but sometimes I have lost the plants themselves to termites from not checking the soil. So turning the soil keeping regular checks, ...is part of living in the beautiful top end. But if you have found they have made there way to your garden and trying to move in on your plants, here are a couple of suggestions: 1. Mix half a cup of vinegar and the juice of two lemons and spray directly on them. The citric acid and vinegar kills them. It's a process where you have to keep checking, finding and eliminating. 2. Orange oil. Again they hate citrus. 3. Cardboard traps: These are often effective because they contain the cellulose that attracts termites. The hope is that any nearby termites will gather near the trap, which can then be disposed of by burning. If you have any other helpful suggestions please share to the page! Happy gardening

01.01.2022 Some new beds for Fresh Point Co. Cafe Such a beautiful Cafe in Bellamack. If you haven't tried them you must pop in for a coffee. These are made in Monument and provide excellent screening or to section off an area.
