Ther...es a transfer of knowledge here, about gardening specifically, but also a transfer of wisdom and values: of whats important in life in general. - Community Gardens are about so much more than growing food, check out this fantastic alternative to juvenile detention program in the 50 Cent Garden in Queens, New York... 02.01.2022 Wow! What a difference a few showers over a few weeks makes!!! From battling to keep the garden watered to battling weeds and grass, our intrepid band of 5 regular volunteers take the tasks in hand. It couldnt happen without them. Community projects like our garden rely on our volunteers (we receive no direct support from Council or any other organisation, keeping it in the hands of our community) and as the old saying goes, many hands make light work. There are so many amazing things we could be doing at the garden with just a few more regular hands. Check out our events calendar on this page and keep posted for updates. Join up as a member and/or drop in to lend a hand on Sunday afternoons from 3-5pm. Wed love to meet you, and make things happen in this town
