This fig is a multi stemmed shrub rather than a tree so, pruned to 1.6 m high and 2m diameter, all fruit is in reach and can be netted. Superb sweet taste. Hardy. Can grow in a large pot. The feijoa is a decorative small tree or can be hedged - beautiful red and cream flowers at Christmas time and delicious fruit which drops when it is ready. We do not need to net our feijoa trees and only put a net underneath at harvest time to collect the fruit easily. Hardy but needs some water to fruit well.
