24.01.2022 Clivea update. Bought a couple of decent sized clumps on the Mundaring buy n sell a while back... So far, Ive managed to divide the clumps up a bit ... and soaked each clump overnight in a solution of seasol and wetting agent in a 60l tub... Ive planted some out into these troughs with heaps of well rotted (12mths old) cow manure and some pine bark thats been through the mower, along with well composted organics.... and Baileys potting mix... About a third each in lasagne style.... The jolt from the seasol has encouraged them to flower well, both in the trough and on the ground still in a pile... A few more rainy days and I should have it done... ... otherwise Im out pruning roses every fine day I can

23.01.2022 Out pruning roses in Boya, on the edge of suburbia today. Big job, 50 old school hybrid teas, with thorns so sharp and hard it sends a tingle up your back when they get you...... The birds all singing and chattering away were delightful... Thanks Geoff and Nanette, really enjoyed giving them a rejuvenation prune, look forward to the first spring flush.
