25.01.2022 We are excited to announce that we are having a FAMILY FUN DAY on Saturday 6th March (the Long weekend) We have a great range of good old fashioned fun and games for the Whole Family. Some games will be family teams against family teams! These are all NEW activities specifically created for this event.... Races, Games, Competitions and Prizes Games include: Sack races, Big Foot races, Fishing game, Hoop games, Tissue Box Jiggle, Fly Swat Golf race, Parachute game, plus more! Starting at 9am with Brekkie, sausage sizzle, Bacon and egg burgers, coffee and Registrations for Covid Safe. (All games are either individual or family based for safety reasons) Special performances for the children by Get Your Groove On with Lyndsie Storer. 23.01.2022 Spinach, coriander and garlic chives if anyone would like to come out pick some. Get your daily exercise and fresh air when you do!

23.01.2022 First coat of paint on the roof, another to do later. Also putting up shade cloth over a frame which is to be for grape vines but they haven't grown much yet, and we need shade now! It's made a tremendous difference already. And starting to insulate the ceiling in the Cafe area.

20.01.2022 EASTER EGG HUNT - Easter Saturday 3rd April Cost $2 child $3 adult $10 family... Opening at 9am with Brekkie and coffee and games. Easter Egg Hunt starting sharp at 11am. Registrations required beforehand for Covid safe reasons, so come early to avoid disappointment. Bacon and egg burgers Sausage sizzle plus great coffee and other food, drinks and icecreams. Lots of development has been taking place over the 4 months that we've been closed and still many jobs unfinished, but I suppose that's the way it will be for a long while yet. . We have so many big plans to not only provide a great place for people and families but to also give HOPE to those who are finding it difficult to cope with the challenges of life. It's the perfe...ct place to relax and have a coffee and slice by the lake with the beautiful gardens and the birds and inspirational quotes on HOPE. 19.01.2022 Some great helpers from DCS came today to spread out some mulch in the playground around the equipment. Warren from Beyond Blue supervised them and they had a great time. Thanks so much everyone.

18.01.2022 Warren from Beyond Blue is walking around the Garden of HOPE for 30 hours non stop on Saturday 12th December 10 a.m to Sunday 4pm. You are welcome to join him at any time even if it's only for one lap or just come and watch! He's raising money for Beyond Blue and those struggling with mental health issues or just needing encouragement. He's also doing a Boot camp over 4 weeks starting next week - 16th November for a month. ... 17.01.2022 A yacht from the Lake Primary school was kindly donated, it's going to be a flower bed! The Garden of HOPE is starting to come alive with colour and flowers with Spring here. We are now open 10 am to 4pm during the school holidays, and we prefer if you book. Food and drinks available. Entry is by donation. Call Debbie 0427121042

14.01.2022 I came across this and it's worth repeating : "Please if anyone is struggling or you know anyone who is struggling with going into another 5 day hard lock down please reach out to a friend, loved one or family member. You don’t have to do it alone!!! Keep yourself busy, gardening, doing your craft, listen to something positive, music or podcast, learn something new, watch a funny movie... stay off media if that is going to cause you more anxiety, stress or hardship...please check in with anyone you know who is struggling. If we all play a part in looking after one another our world will be a little bit more tolerable. Let’s all post something positive to encourage one another that we will be okay...Staying positive is the key." Karen Martin

09.01.2022 We had the Sunraysia Mallee Suicide Prevention Network come out to the Garden of HOPE on March 21st to plant a Fairy Floss Emu bush at the Garden of HOPE for the community. The Emu tree is known for its healing qualities and it also symbolises that as a tree continues to grow despite the hardships, so too can those affected by suicide or depression. I took some photos today of the bush which is full of buds and flowers - it is a picture of beauty!

08.01.2022 Warren Wright from BEYOND BLUE is staying here at the Garden of HOPE until Dec 27th. Anyone who is interested can come to his meetings at the Garden of HOPE on Friday nights during the month of November 7:30 pm. 05.01.2022 The Key to staying in Hope is to keep your Mind on the good. When we fix our eyes on the problems they begin to consume us and pull us down. However if we can look for the good and focus on it we will stay in Hope.

05.01.2022 Amazing what you can do with such simple things. These are ideas from Garden Art Junk Facebook pages, so decided to try them and it's really quite easy! * Agapanthas stems from old flowers, spray painted red, yellow and orange. * Butterfly made from coat hangers joined with zip ties and a solar light with eyes stuck on it and zip ties used as antenna and some red acrylic paint for dots, it's been attached to the wall using hexagon head screws.

04.01.2022 Beyond Blue Fund-raiser and speaker Warren Wright shared his interesting story tonight at the Garden of HOPE Mildura. It was a memorable occasion, so much so that we will do it again every Friday night at 7:30pm for the month of November. You are welcome to come and bring your friends. Prebooking is required for Covid-19 restrictions and catering. Cost $7 per person and donations towards Beyond Blue can also be made. ... Call 0427121042 to reserve your place. If you would like to meet Warren privately during the day or another time over a coffee you can arrange to see him at the Garden of HOPE, or even invite him to your place or business.

04.01.2022 Made a new game for the children which is harder than it looks! Also mulching the Garden for the hot weather - 43 & 44! We will NOT OPEN on Friday or Saturday due to the heat and any other day over 40 degrees

We have been using this time to do many projects in the garden, and we are not really ready to open yet...however the coffee machine is on and we have some great slices available! If anyone is interested in coming out, please give me call first and book as we are still very busy using tools, paint, etc and will need to pack these away. 03.01.2022 Progress is still happening even though we are in lockdown. It's exciting to see it taking shape after so much hard work that most don't see going on behind the scenes. We are closed to the public until the restrictions lift. We also thank you all for your patience with us concerning the front fence as it's long overdue to put it up however it's finally going up!

03.01.2022 Painting the roof of the kiosk, and enclosing the coffee area some more as we have an air conditioner coming. Also a lots of functions including a lovely birthday party for a little princess.
