14.01.2022 Hey Titan Family. Hope your all well both physically and mentally through these challenging times. With a potential start date of mid November for 7 x 2 day games for us (Cardinia shire) its time to order some white shirts. If anyone wants a new white shirt I will need an email ([email protected]) text (0407025511) by this Sunday. If we are any hope to get the shirts by a mid November start I have to place the order by Monday morning 8am. Unfortunately due to the uncertainty of these times hoodies and other clothing will have to be revisited when the season begins. I cannot place any order for shirts after Sunday night. Please. If you need a new shirt let me know. Once I receive your order please contact Tate to arrange payment. Crickets not far away. Can’t wait. Cheers Chopper

14.01.2022 Season Update- The wheels are in motion and the league has set a plan for commencement, in summary the aim is to commence on the 14th Nov with a 2 day competition, what we need now is clarification on players and especially our junior numbers. Can I please ask everyone to either make contact with Ralph, Tate or Chop with their intentions for the year ahead or simply comment on this post WDCA Season Format... The current WDCA Executive has determined that the following format will be used for season 2020/21. The season will be divided into two formats: Format 1 One Day Cricket Five rounds of one day cricket comprising six teams per grade. It is hoped that the Competitions will commence on Saturday 3rd October or as soon as legally allowed after this date. A Grade The Covid Cup Will comprise the top six teams from Division 1 in season 2019/20 B Grade The Covid Shield This Competition will comprise the bottom 2 teams from the Division 1 and the four highest placed teams from Division 2 which are not in lock down. Thereafter, the number of grades and teams per Grade will be determined by the number of teams that Clubs are able submit. These Competitions will be known as the Covid Shield Competition; C Grade, D Grade etc.. The reference to Grades as opposed to Divisions denotes the change to normal procedures. One Day Finals: A One Day Final will be played at the completion of round five for each level of competition. . Note: 1. Clubs that come from the Metropolitan Area (Cardinia Shire), may be able to submit a team provided the players that represent the Cardinia based Club live in the Baw Baw Shire. Moreover, Clubs may consider a combined team formed from players living in the Baw Baw Shire. 2. The Player points system will not operate for the Covid Cup Series as the series sits outside the ‘normal’ season and will not count towards ladder points for the end of season finals. 3. Unless determined otherwise, A Grade Covid Cup, B Grade Covid Shield and C Grade Covid Shield will use a four (4) Piece white ball. All other grades will use a two piece ball. 4. Format 2 Two Day Competition: The Two day Competition will commence at the conclusion of the One Day Competition. Here it assumed that the Cardinia Shire will not be in lock down and teams from the Shire will be allowed to cross boundaries. These competitions will be played according to the normal 8 team per Division competitions and are scheduled to conclude with the Finals on the weekend 27th, 28th March. Should this assumption not come to fruition a different format will be devised according to the circumstances at the time.
