21.01.2022 Hi Nipper families. I hope you’ve all been keeping safe and healthy since we last saw each other. Just wanted to let you know we are still planning to have our presentation day from last season soon, and we’ll keep you updated on that. It’s almost that time again, so keep your eyes peeled for proficiency dates coming in August. I am seeking expressions of interest for a nipper assistant to support the JAC role this year, so if you’re the legend I’m looking for please let ...me know. I hope to see all the kids coming back this year - bring along some new recruits if you know anyone who is looking for a challenge. We can’t wait to get back into it this season and look forward to seeing you all soon. Steph See more
21.01.2022 The weather wasn’t so kind to us today but we set up an obstacle course and practiced our signals in the boat shed. Tony and Dave, lateral thinking at its best.

04.01.2022 With the gravity of the last nights results at Surf Life Saving Sydney’s Awards of Excellence being finally absorbed, Garie Surf Life Saving Club would like to ...congratulate the members for the enormity of the success that we now enjoy for the efforts put in over the past season. This year saw the introduction of Garie Surf Life Saving Clubs pilot The Garie Vanguard that’s underpinning focus was to engage members from western Sydney and introduce them to Surf Life Saving and rostered patrols. Special thanks to Doug Hawkins from Coogee SLSC, Gary Daly from Burning Palms SLSC, Michelle Cowans from Tamarama SLSC, Yusra Metwally from Swim Sisters, Kari Baynes from Different Strokes Swimming, Belgravia Leisure for letting us use your facilities and of course the entire team at Surf Life Saving Sydney Branch Thanks to Channel 10 who have supported our nipper section this year. It is also very important to to thank Stephanie Griffiths, the Age Managers and most importantly the parents who bring their children down to nippers every fortnight, the Junior section and the children are literally the future of our club, we know the weather has been less than favorable this season but you stuck it out. The Club of the year award is yours as well! A Big shout out to our education team Mikala, Nick and Brett. Great work! You guys delivered more awards this season than any RNP Club. Kudos! A special mention to Louise & Owen Skjeime and Peter Burst for keeping our IRB’s seaworthy, and Paul Cootes for keeping our gear in top shape Finally the dedicated Surf Life Savers who volunteer their time. Successes like these are not at all possible without your devotion and dedication. It is also true that Garie Surf Life Saving Club has enjoyed the assistance of our fellow clubs within Sydney branch district, our successes are yours too. 02.01.2022 Hi all, We would like to thank those who RSVP’d for our Junior and Senior presentation. We would like everyone to know that we had planned this event numerous months after the end of the season in the hopes that the current health circumstances would be relieved and we would be legally allowed to run an event of this size. However, due to the recurrence of Covid-19 and the increase of restriction within NSW, the RSL under Clubs NSW ruling have had to cancel the event that w...as to be held on the 1st of August. The Garie committee are dedicated to celebrating the achievements of last season with our members at some time in the future and are working to try and find an alternate arrangement to hold the presentation at a different location and date. We thank you for your commitment to Garie SLSC during this time. Please stay in touch with us as the new season begins. There will be many changes during the season that will align with all health and safety precautions set out by the NSW Government and Surf Life Saving Sydney. Thankyou Garie Committee
