24.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone, Been a while since on Facebook only because I have been busy doing some garlands now we are able to go out and compete again. I still have a couple of garlands available that I made in lockdown but I also want to let you all know in the future you might possibly have to get your orders in earlier for bulk orders as overseas suppliers of flowers are either very slow or are no longer providing services and even Australian suppliers are having difficulty getting stock. I have some new photos of garlands for sale, winners and grinners and a couple of sneaky peeks coming up. Cheers, Alison.

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I have just done a post about my new business venture. Now to do a post and Congratulate a few winners from the last couple of weekends who have w...on garlands made by Garlands by Alison and give a big shout out to the sponsors. Andrea Huntington from Northern Float Hire who sponsored the Arabian Ring at Whittlesea Show last weekend and Charlie Wright with Rapid Fire winners of Supreme Led Arabian. Another shout out to Clinton Hedger and the Cowra Show Society who asked me to do garlands for the Show Jumping Section of the Show and to Katelyn Staples riding KC Spotabug (cool name) who won the Mini Prix Section. Also coming up we have garlands heading to NSW to Bathurst Pony Club and an Arabian event so hopefully some more winners are grinners photos over the next few months. Kim Simpson from Amaroo Park Stud has sponsored a couple of up coming events in Victoria so again hopefully so happy snaps for those events. In the meantime I will give you some sneaky peek photos of those garlands. I look forward to creating some new designs over the next few months every garland is usually just a little bit different. Cheers, Alison. See more

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Garlands by Alison has some new and exciting news to tell everyone. I have decided to expand my business not just doing rosettes and garlands for the horse industry and horse events but diversify down the path of birthdays, baby showers and weddings. I have already done garlands for brides who not only used the garland on their horse on the day of the wedding but as table decorations as well. This is because my daughter turned 30th yesterday and as a surprise... for her I made her a floral wall as a back drop for photos and as part of her decorations. I received so many compliments with what I made I have decided to hire this floral wall out and alter it for different occasions. The good part is I do not intend to charge the earth in hiring fees as I need to refine it and get the lighting modified. I will also be able to take orders for different occasions including other birthday’s like 18, 21, 30, 50 etc. or initial or even names and intend to add different types of walls to my collections. Here are some photos of the wall. I hope you like it. Cheers, Alison. See more

22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I'm back from hibernation. I have still been making garlands ready for when everyone comes back out competing again. At the beginning of this year before Covid hit I went back to school to study Certificate III in Floristry at TAFE to diversify my skills with real flowers. I'm now half way through most sessions on Zoom and have just completed by display project naturally horsey related I choose Spring Racing Carnival. I also had to stay away and in lock down if I wanted to see my newborn granddaughter who was born on 16th April. Can't wait to be back seeing beautiful ponies strutting their stuff and winning some garlands. Here's some pictures to entertain you. Cheers, Alison.

22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Back from a trip up to Darwin and while up there got to play horses at a very special event at Darwin Dressage Club at their Pink Ribbon event. As a survivor myself I feel very honoured to be part of this. I got to meet some beautiful people and took some photos I told them I would share on my page for them. Please feel free to comment and share these photos with the competitors.

21.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Normally I do a post to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and thank all the clubs, associations, societies and organisations I ha...ve made garlands and rosettes for during the year but this being a business page and not just a normal friends page it doesn't seem to tag the names of people I would like to thank, so instead I will just wish everyone who reads this post a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year so add a few photos I might not have posted during the year. Love and friendship, Alison from Garlands by Alison. See more

19.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Happy New Year and I hope all my horsey friends are safe and their horses are OK with all these terrible fires we have down in East Gippsland. I made back in 2018 garlands for the Bairnsdale club for TTT showing that year and I know some people down that way who have gone through a horrible last few weeks. On a positive side I attended Bass Coast Show last weekend as a Judge and also sponsored the show and donated some floral armbands for the PC and Local Ring... and also entered some of my floral work and a garland and rosette into the Arts & Crafts competition and won some awards and my garland was nomination for consideration as Best Exhibit although I didn't win it still very special. Here are some photos from last weekend. Also some special garlands are being sent up Sydney for the Arab East Coast Championships so looking forward to photos of these after next weekend. Cheers Alison. See more

09.01.2022 I'm back doing garlands I will post some garlands made during Covid as specials over the next few days.

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Garlands by Alison took a little break over our Covid lockdown this year, so instead decided to do something different and went back to study. I am now a fully qualified Certificate 3 in Floristry so learnt some extra skills like Elements and Principles of Design, Colour Mixing, Bridal work including Arbours all of which I can incorporate into my garland and rosette making. I also knew that once we were out of lockdown horsey people would have itchy feet to ge...t out there doing a bit of competition work again so I have made a few different designs in garlands to sell (off the rack) so to speak instead of custom designs and I am now able to release the photos of these. If your club, association or society are wanting to purchase these, please feel free to message me and I will provide you with details. Also if you are wanting garlands for future events early next year, please get your orders in quick smart before Christmas as ordering flowers and receiving them by post is very slow. I am still waiting on stock from China since August. Anyway here's some photos of my work plus some floristry photos. See more

09.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I can finally let the cat out of the bag so to speak. I have been busy over the last few months designing and putting together some very different and flamboyant garlands which will be awarded this week and next Saturday at the Australian Arabian National Championships at Boneo Park. I would also like to thank the Committee and Brett from Computer Sashes and Ribbons who made the rosettes for me to insert into the garlands. This has been my biggest venture so far and I am so proud of how they turned out. So far you all only get a little sneaky peek as I want you to wait until you see them on the winners. Cheers Alison

08.01.2022 Hello Everyone, I wish to give a big shout out to some of my fellow students and team member who me with my display and merchandise set up at school last week. They also had to do their assessments prior and all of us did quite unique designs. Here are some pictures I'm sharing of not just my work but everyone elses.
