18.01.2022 Every problem has a silver lining, but you have to reframe your problems to be able to see the good in any adverse situation. So the problem is: COVID 19 has made everyone go into hiding and recoil from normal work activities. That causes huge problems in workflow chains across many sectors. Silver Lining: With all your competitors likely hiding under a rock now is the time to get your name out there as a forward thinker, a trail-blazer, the company that survived and thrive...d. The solution: Don't stop marketing, keep chugging along as a brand, diversify the way you work, how to deliver your service, be useful, be a resource, consider that what you do is important enough for your customers to want to know more. Use this time to leverage your brand, not bury it under a pile of shitty movies form the 1980's and too much popcorn. My advice: Keep on keeping on Australia, there are a bunch of us marketers out here who all work from home (and always have done) all raring to tackle the content side of your business, so not knowing how to do it isn't important. We know what to say to whom, when and why. Just reach out. But just don't stop. You could be the leader in your field by the end of this, or you could win the local pub quiz. 15.01.2022 Amidst the lunacy lays opportunity What this global situation has shown us is that we are a resilient species. It has also shown us that we can survive on less and that is very interesting. We have created a world where we have been striving for more, the next big thing, upcoming trends and the accumulation of stuff for so long that it has become second nature to us. However we can see that people still need each other, just less, we don’t need to sit in each other’s pockets.... Maybe we will become stronger, more independent and less needy as a species. *We can see that products are still being bought just the ones we need, not necessarily everything our heart’s desire. 14.01.2022 So exciting!!! It’s new car time for me!! Check out the new signage. Thanks to my lovely hubby for organising it for me so it was done for pick up! Such a great surprise!!! It’s the new RAV4 hybrid so it’s much more sustainable. Living the features and the fact it’ll cost me approximately half in fuel!!! Hurrah

13.01.2022 Diversify and help Australia thrive We need to change tact Australia - this is our time, it's our chance and now is the best time to do it because we are all in it, we are being backed and unless we do we ain't gonna make it. It is not certain yet if things will go back to the days of old yet.... In fact, I’d hazard a guess and say that some of our forced changes are here to stay and you know, maybe that is a good thing. I have been working with SME’s for nearly 15 years in Australia and it is fair to say that a number of businesses 1. Shouldn’t be still operating (because they run at a loss) 2. Need to cull their product line because not all of the products actually sell enough to bother importing or manufacturing them. 3. Have needed to reassess their processes and stop double handling for as long as they have been in business. So this forced shutdown, insolvency and rethink of what actually makes money, is not necessarily a bad thing. 10.01.2022 Today marks the day that 14years ago I took a leap of faith and started my company - Garnish Marketing. Since those early days, we have helped literally hundreds of small but growing businesses to improve or set up their Marketing. I am so very grateful to all of our clients who have believed and continue to believe in us and what we do. I'd also like to take the opportunity to thank my husband for his patience, encouragement and support through all of these years. Without ...his support, I would have given up years go. As we stretch and settle into our teenage years we are growing as a company. No longer a fledgling business we have both experience and wisdom on our side, we have the drive and understanding to know what works and what doesn't and I am no longer afraid to back myself.
