25.01.2022 'Ripper' find with the new APEX Multi-Frequency 'Ripper' searchcoil! A key date 1908 Edward VII Florin 'Two Bob' at nine inches in difficult long grass and iron...-infested conditions. A beautiful silver coin featuring a standing Britannia with trident and shield in the bow of a ship. The 5 x 8" Ripper is sensational at target separation and has a lightning fast recovery speed in Multi-Frequency. Video in editing! Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen. See more

24.01.2022 Garrett Announces Acquisition of Whites Electronic's Garland, TX, October 16, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Garrett Electronics, a design and manufacturing company specializing in sport and security metal detectors, announced the acquisition of certain assets of White’s Electronics. White’s, who had been in business since 1950 as a premier manufacturer of metal detection products, announced the suspension of operations on June 18, 2020 in a memo to its dealers. White’s founders..., Kenneth and Olive White, built their business the same way Garrett’s founders, Charles and Eleanor Garrett, did, by innovating and committing to producing high quality products in the United States. White’s current principals, Kenneth R. and Mary White, are choosing to fold the White’s legacy in with Garrett Metal Detectors as a way of extending their Made in the USA tradition. Garrett CEO Steve Novakovich commented, The White family and the Garrett family have had a high level of respect for one another as competitors in the sport market for decades. Now we at Garrett are proud to combine our respective legacies as Garrett continues on as the premier American metal detector company. The transaction includes White’s trademarks, intellectual property, tooling, and other assets. It does not include White’s real estate in Oregon or Scotland. Garrett intends to rigorously defend all of White’s trademarks, patents, and other IP wherever infringement may occur. Novakovich continued, Garrett recognizes that the White’s brand has a loyal following in the US and around the world. We are pleased to welcome those customers to Garrett, and we hope we can earn your future business.

16.01.2022 This beautiful 1931 KGV Florin recovered yesterday from a long-abandoned and heavily overgrown early 1900s park. Heavy rain stopped play early (all our gear is ...waterproof but it is very difficult to get good video in wet conditions). We will be returning in the next few days to complete the video. Garrett AT Pro with a NEL 'Snake' searchcoil. Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen. See more

15.01.2022 Congratulations Thomas on his very first Pre-Decimal coin spill with Garrett AT Max.

14.01.2022 APEX Silver Slayer! APEX in Multi-Frequency with the 12" Viper coil easily hit this deep silver spill in a heavily detected spot - all captured on video with a ...'live' dig. This recovery will feature in our Friday night 'Beach-Bush-Goldfields' video, which is shaping up to be a 40 minute 600km overlanding extravaganza testing the APEX in the toughest detecting environment in the world - Australia! So double up on the popcorn and chips order and select your favourite beverage from the fridge for a Friday evening in! We will even include some depth testing on buried targets in mineralised soils - suffice to say that the MF and 5kHz mode are outstanding on deeply buried silver coins. So make sure you are subscribed to our NQ Explorers YouTube Channel and hit the 'Notification' bell. Happy Fossicking everyone! Warren and Colleen. See more

14.01.2022 Over 250 years of history in this tiny coin - our oldest APEX coin find to date, this Chinese Half Cash dating from the reign of Emperor Ch'ien Lung (1736-1796)..., plus a nice 19th Century barrel tap and a 1927 Halfpenny with multiple gunshot wounds. All finds in Multi-Frequency - Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen. See more

08.01.2022 Beach detecting and testing the APEX in Multi-Salt (MS) mode in the wet sand and wave zone. The APEX is outstanding on the beach in Multi-Salt and is completely... unaffected by wet salt sand or even the impact of the waves on the coil. Super quiet running in salt water, combined with excellent depth on dry sand in Multi-Frequency (MF) mode with the 12" Viper make for a superb beach machine. Stay tuned for our Beach-Bush-Goldfields APEX video this Friday evening (AEST) on NQ Explorers YouTube channel, where we journey over 500km and put the new Garrett APEX through its paces in all three environments. Happy Fossicking! Warren and Colleen. See more

03.01.2022 First Aussie silver! The new Garrett Apex operating in Multi-Frequency pinged this beautiful silver 1922 Shilling with a solid Target I.D of 89. The new Viper c...oil is an excellent coil combining good coverage and depth with a narrow width. Our first day out we hit silver and some other nice relics, then up into the goldfields to see how it handled the mineralisation running at 20kHz, testing it on a variety of sub-gram gold nuggets. All this information will be included in a video coming up very soon. Happy Fossicking to you all! Warren and Colleen. See more

01.01.2022 A great run of Predecimal coins yesterday, two Apex machines in action at the site of an old community cricket oval and hall. Colleen hit FOTD (Find of the Day)... within five minutes of arrival with a magnificent Edward VII 1906 Britannia Penny, along with a nice silver in the form of a 1942 Threepence. Another very historic and relevant find was the brass top of a cricket stump, c1920 - very fitting considering the location! Lengthy video on the way - Happy Fossicking - Colleen and Warren.
