He is survived by his wife Lee, and two sons, Mark and Michael. Our thoughts are with them. The funeral is private, but Lee has asked that anyone who remembers Bernie with fondness come to his wake at the Rose and Crown, Guildford, at 2:00pm on Thursday the 1st of October and raise a glass to his memory. 13.01.2022 A large crowd of family, friends and thespians gathered to celebrate the life of Bernie 'the Bishop' Doyle. It was organised by the family - Bernie's wife Lee and sons Mark and Michael chose Bernie's favourite watering hole, the Rose and Crown and we gathered to share our favourite anecdotes of Bernie, lift a glass to his memory and commiserate with each other. It is said that no one is truly gone while people still speak their name. If that's true, Bernie will be with us in spirit for a very long time.

12.01.2022 Garrick are proud to present Sean Wsiclo who will be taking the role of Algernon Moncrieff in the current production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Sean was born in a log cabin he helped his father build some time in the 1850s. He ascribes his youthful looks to a diet of curdled milk and badger’s blood. On stage he has played the Mad Hatter, the Bad Batter and the Sad Butter - Algernon is breakaway role for him in that the character is comparitively sane. His daytime j...ob is as a musician - he plays the Peruvian Nose Flute for the West Berlin Sympathy orchestra. His hobbies are sheep worrying (he runs behind them shouting ‘mint sauce, mint sauce’.) He’s also too lazy to write a bio. Bookings are open and may be made by ringing Rod on 0478 410 330 or Elaine on 9378 1990 or emailing [email protected]. Seats are limited, so book now. See more

She is delighted to be involved in such a classic as The Importance of Being Earnest. Last time she saw this show was many moons ago with Ruth Cracknell (Lady Brack...nell) and Gordon Chater as Merriman. Gordon Chater stole the show! and with no dialogue! Kerry has performed in many classics over the years such as The Summer of the 17th Doll, The One Day of the Year, Cranford, Silver Linings and more recently Ray Omodei’s production of The Way of the World and Salonika. 02.01.2022 Hello parents of T.A.G! Rod here, (VP and T.A.G Liason) I just wanted to touch base and say thank you for all your support over 2020 especially for the Hound pr...oduction. It's been a year for sure, but we are seeing some return to normal with T.A.G coming back as the show winds down. (October 10) As we approach the end of the year, I do have a huge favour to ask moving forward. As you know, Garrick Theatre is run by volunteers and we are running short for some shows. We would love for not just the kids but for your families/homes to become members and then in turn be able to help out. Volunteering doesn't always mean being on stage, so don't panic. We need F.O.H and Bar volunteers (Garrick will pay for RSA and Bar manager courses, we just ask for a commitment to a certain amount of shows). We have three committees that always need fresh ideas (The Executive, production and 90th birthday committees) and of course T.A.G and the shows. Also, becoming a member, gives you the opportunity to have more of a say in what happens at the theatre, especially TAG. The AGM is November 13th. Please come along, as a member, to vote for who you would like on the committee (indeed yourself), ask questions, etc etc. Always happy to chat with everyone and again thanks for all the support!
