19.01.2022 Remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. MFS collapsed in 2008 owing $2.5B. Payments ordered by the court are to be directed to the thousands of retirees who put their life savings into the Premium Income Fund that was managed by MFS Ltd. I recall that this is had a "guaranteed" rate of return about 2% higher than plain old cash. It has now taken nearly a decade for investors to get back about 10 cents of each dollar they invested.
