25.01.2022 Michael Glazbrook had a previous fit carried out by me some time back and today brought his most recent purchase, His Giant disc roadie to me. He's a tricky fit, with very long legs and a relatively short body. The boys from Morley Cycles got the frame size right and the rest worked out perfectly by the conclusion of the fit.

25.01.2022 Brad Welsh was given my name by Jodie from Giant Perth and was keen to get a proper fit on his recent purchase, a second hand Giant roadie. I'm glad he came to me as I've given him a fairly comfortable initial setup, just so it doesn't feel too extreme starting out on his first road bike.

23.01.2022 Thanks to Kumar Pillai for referring business associate Uwe Bartelmuss for a fit on his Scott disc roadie today. Uwe was suffering with his lower back and was able to go straight to the solution and provide instant relief.

23.01.2022 My wife Tracy has registered for the Solaris Cancer Care Red Sky Ride cycling 600kms over 4 days in March 2021, to raise funds and awareness for WA families living with cancer. 22.01.2022 I had John Bussell and his brand new Cannondale disc roadie drop by nice and early this morning for a fit. He'd taken my suggested measurements to his store, Bike Bug Subiaco who then transferred those across to this bike. After several adjustments and some fine tuning a great outcome was achieved.

21.01.2022 Imogen Kemp called in today after her partner Sheldon suggested she get fitted to her recently purchased near new Trek Domane. This lovely young couple left with some info for a prefit for Sheldon and some coaching for Imogen on clipping in and out of her new pedals. There aren't many sports like cycling, where young couples can share this fun experience together.

20.01.2022 After calling out to me on the start line at TOMR, telling me he needed a fit, Rick Goullet dropped in with his brand new Canyon T/T rig today. I'd previously done his road bike and wanted to get off the mark on a good note with his new weapon. I was thrilled with our adjustments and can't wait to hear how it feels on the road.

18.01.2022 David James brought his new Specialized Roubaix disc to me today after picking it up from Nic Garland. David was looking for the slightly more relaxed geometry this bike offered, in preparation for his upcoming Youth Focus ride to be held early next year.

18.01.2022 Luke Jackson was advised to call me for a bike fit by Andrew Martin and Steve Dorlandt. Cheers guys, you can't beat referrals. Luke had a couple of fits prior, though they'd completely missed the mark, as I needed to raise the saddle over 3 cms and found numerous other areas to improve. I expect percentages in his improvement and look forward to his feedback.

17.01.2022 Sr cycling group member Johnathan Ramirez was told to come to me for a bike fit and today I carried out a very successful fit for him. He was over reaching and needed his saddle raised to relieve his knees.

17.01.2022 Anton Vucak was advised by his fellow Red Sky riders to come and see me for a fit and advice about the sizing of a new bike. I don't think he expected a cheer squad, with a few of the members turning up to encourage him.

16.01.2022 Teagan Blaikie looked me up on Facebook and was further advised by CRT team mates that I was the person to go to for a fit on her new purchase. She looked great by the time I had her test ride her new Giant roadie, which she bought from Giant Cannington.

15.01.2022 Marco Silvi snuck in-between showers today while I carried out his bike fit. Tony Sabatino and other nembers of the Parma cycling group recommended me to Marco. He looks tall enough for a large frame, though with adjustments the medium was perfect.

15.01.2022 Ricky Kusnada came in for a fit on his recently purchased Colnago this morning and can now cycle with comfort over the Xmas break.

15.01.2022 After receiving recommendations from cycling buddies, Catherine Zainudin and Michelle Read, Sue Brooks booked me to fit her roadie and Mtb today. Sue's recovering from a broken arm, so I was quite mindful of keeping her in a relaxed position, while her rehab continues. The front end height also had to be taken into account, because Sue has very long legs which creates a significant drop down to handle bars.

14.01.2022 Paul Coghlan was referred to me by Mark Leaker, as he increased his kms towards his goal of cycling in the Ronald McDonald house charity ride. This event runs from the 18th to the 21st of October, raising funds for sick kids. Please get behind this wonderful cause if you're in a position to help?

14.01.2022 Scott Romeo called in for a fit today after a referral from his brother Andrew. I fitted tri bars to his second hand Trek roadie and achieved a positive outcome. Scott can now get into full training for the Busso full Ironman in December. Our goal was comfort over full aero, as this will be his first full Ironman.

14.01.2022 My friend Joe Arrigo had me drop around to his place today to fine tune his brand new Focus Izalco max disc roadie. He'd just picked it up from his favourite shop Elite Racing Cycles and was very happy with his purchase.

13.01.2022 Thanks to a referral from Jeff from Giant Perth, June Darley came to me with her recently purchased 2nd hand Giant disc roadie. June has been experiencing some knee pain and wanted to be sure of her fit prior to doing the Tour of WA on the 6th to 11th of October.

13.01.2022 I had a casual cruise down the much improved Kwinana Freeway today when calling into Ricky Kusnadi's home in Aubin Grove. After a successful fit and some advice about clipless pedals, I think there'll be no stopping Ricky now.

13.01.2022 Tim McCaughey has been happy with my previous bike fits and today had me fine tune his Scott roadie so that it was comfortable on his wind trainer. Raising the saddle and fine tuning several other adjustments should give him the power gains needed.

12.01.2022 James Lush brought his recently purchased second hand Giant roadie to me for a thorough check over, prior to building his kms in readiness for the upcoming Youth Focus charity ride. I had a really positive outcome and was happy he'd purchased the correct size.

12.01.2022 Sean Kehoe followed Tom from Bike Force Clarkson's advice and came in for a fit with me this morning. I found where his discomfort was coming from very quickly and rectified that plus added several other positive changes.

11.01.2022 Nick McLeod was referred by Damir Stajduhar for his bike fit today. He had and integrated seat post an we were luck to just manage the correct height. I'm sure there'll be much more comfort coming Nick's way from now on, after numerous adjustments.

11.01.2022 There was an important message involved today when i carried out a refit for long time friend and client Mark Leaker. Mark has packed his bike in a box a number of times in recent years for travel and thought he'd get me to have a close look at his fit. I'm glad I did, as quite a bit of adjustment and fine tuning was required.

11.01.2022 Thanks to Andre, a Fleet cycles Mandurah customer for his referral today. Darren Govic came to me with pins and needles in hands and neck and back discomfort. With several adjustments carried out he felt immediate relief and should save some long term visits to his physio.

11.01.2022 The final brettruss bikefit garage advent calendar photo is of my Scott's first of two senior national championship jerseys. Unbeknown to me, both my father and grandfather had dreamed of having a family member one day win this coveted jersey. My grandfather said he was staying alive for the day, so as you can imagine his jubilance being around for two. I'd like to thank Brett Russell for suggesting I create this calendar, it's been fun to revisit the past.

11.01.2022 Waed Searson brought his flat bar roadie and his Merida disc roadie to me for fits this morning. I was very happy that Waed had originally been advised to use me by Roger Knight and recently by Ocean Keys Cycles and Bike Force Clarkson. It's a fantastic compliment which i really appreciate. The best thing about Waed starting to cycle is significant weight loss plus fitness gains and he's now riding distances over 150 kms. Well done.

11.01.2022 How do you know when youre in need of a bike fit Apart from your friends or fellow riders telling you your seats too high (low) or that your knees stick out etc, there are many tell tale signs. If any of the below symptoms resemble your riding discomfort, you may qualify. (1) Numbness in your hands during your regular cycle.... (2) Arms feel locked out and you cant make them relax. (3) Tension through your neck and shoulders. (4) lower back tension, sometimes running into your glutes and hamstrings. (5) Burning or numb feet, including or unsure of foot over pedal position. As we enter the cold winter months why not get on top your individual bike fit and be ready to approach the spring, knowing youre correctly fitted and feeling much more comfortable even helping avoid that regular visit to your health professional. Feel free to call and discuss any of the above and discuss whether a bike fit will be beneficial to you.

10.01.2022 Jason from Malaga bikes strikes again, by referring Kunal Parbat to me for fit on his second hand Cervello roadie. Kunal is just starting to step up his kms and Jason advised him of the importance of a bike fit. It was very good timing as some early back issues were presenting themselves.

10.01.2022 Sharon Tsang come to me this evening to get a fit on her recent purchase, a Canyon roadie. Thanks to Jackie Katanya for the referral. Now Sharon can join her cycling group, Cranking Women and show off her mean machine.

09.01.2022 John Hains and his wife are both long term Crt riders who love their weekend rides around the river. John had been to me with his previous bike and waited a few months after purchasing this lovely Giant disc roadie from Jeff at Giant Perth to get my fine tuning. They'd copied the previous measurements very well and I only needed to change the saddle nose angle, lever and bar position and his cleat position to provide a great outcome.

09.01.2022 Thanks to Janiene Pollock for sending her hubby David to me to make sure this great second hand Trek roadie fitted him correctly. After several minor changes I achieved everything you could hope for.

08.01.2022 renata carey came by today with some new shoes to have all the cleats duplicated. This young lady from Brazil is one the happiest people I have had come to me. Regardless of her situation she remains upbeat, happy and easy to get along with. We could all learn from your attitude Renata.

07.01.2022 Nishani Jacob found time to drop by with her Giant Mtb today after her friend and fellow cyclist Heike Motzek told her how happy she was with her fit. Both ladies are members of the popular SR cycling group and they love the group comradery that's provided by SR.

07.01.2022 Natalie Mcmaster had recently bought this new Scott disc roadie and was experiencing discomfort in numerous places. Her previous bike was a 54 cm frame and she had concerns over this 52 cm bike being too small. I was very happy to inform her that the frame was a perfect size, it just needed the reach shortened, along with many of the usual fine tuning adjustments. It was worth the trip from Secret Harbour.

06.01.2022 I love seeing young families who participate in sport together, just like the Erskine family who came to me for a fit today. I'd already fitted dad Grant prior and he was keen to make sure both children, Harry and Emelie weren't risking injury by not fitting their bikes correctly.

05.01.2022 Thanks to my old mate Eddy Holland's for referring me to Kumar Pillai today. It was a nice drive to Huntingdale to carry out a fit on his recently purchased Canyon. Because he's coming from a flat bar roadie I've gone gently with his fit, to give him time to adapt to the more aggressive riding position.

04.01.2022 Mark Little came to me today for a much needed fit on his commuter roadie after a referral from my friend Brad Smith. Although this bike, a 58 cm is one size small, I managed to make it work heaps better than when Mark brought it to me. The best part about today's fit is we now have exact measurements for Mark's next purchase, which won't be too far off.

03.01.2022 Thanks to Young champ Brett Snitzerling for referring me to Leroy Tafti for dual fits on his Colnago and Pinarello bikes this morning. Leroy knew things weren't quite right and felt immediate improvement on both bikes during his test rides. Beautiful machines there buddy.

02.01.2022 After fitting Heike Motzeks road bike, she wanted to be certain her Tri bike fitted her correctly. It was one of the closest to correct fitting bikes I've had come to me, as the only major change was moving the saddle forward 15 mil.

02.01.2022 Heike Motzek had many bike fits prior to coming to me today and was really happy with my mechanical approach to fitting, feeling very happy even after a short test ride.

02.01.2022 Danielle Berry came to me today to change her road bike to suit triathlon. It's difficult to achieve a full on tri bike outcome, though i was extremely happy with how good Danielle looked after my changes.
