21.01.2022 Tourmaline and Diamond set dress ring. The rarest variety of Tourmaline, Paraiba. One way to showcase this beautiful gemstone is to surround it with a few random shaped Diamonds! It was an absolute pleasure to make up this ring for a client of mine. The ring was first carved in wax, cast in Platinum, then the 140 claws were individually soldered in place using hand drawn Platinum wire.

He entered this piece in the 2017 Jewellers Association of Australia awards, Apprentice category, 3rd - 4th year. Hugh was selected as a finalist and WON this category. He also won Apprentice of the year 2017! Bravo!! Well deserved!!
