24.01.2022 PERTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE COVID-19 UPDATE While the WA Government’s recent decision to ease social distancing restrictions to gatherings of up to 10 people is an en...couraging sign in WA, it is important to note that community football remains postponed until May 31st. This includes training sessions at football clubs. Players are encouraged to continue training away from their club, while ensuring they follow the Government’s current social distancing guidelines. Please keep being patient and do not return to your football club at this point in time. The ease of social distancing restrictions does provide an opportunity for clubs to re-engage with players, and achieve appropriate fitness and conditioning for players. Importantly, playing football, itself remains a prohibited sporting activity. Sharing fitness and sporting equipment such as footballs is prohibited and social distancing guidelines apply. Clubs intending to organise training should: Stagger its groups of 10 or less training schedules (different start times, different days, different locations). In other words, avoid groups training at the same venue at the same time. Training groups of 10 (includes players, coaches, trainers) must be a consistent group of members with no movement between groups to reduce risk of cross-contamination. Players are encouraged to continue training away from their club. No access to changerooms, gym, wet or inside areas. Training activities will be non-contact (no tackling, bumping, etc). Players responsible for own strapping, if required. Coaches and players must maintain social distancing protocols as outlined by the WA Government at all times. No sharing of equipment, including no footballs, kick to kick. Bring your own water bottle. COVIDSafe App The League is still hopeful of competition in 2020. However, we are mindful that a member contracting COVID-19 would cease competition immediately. In this situation, tracking infected members is essential to reduce spread through the wider community. Therefore, the League strongly recommends all players, coaches and volunteers intending to train download the COVIDSafe app

08.01.2022 VERY IMPORTANT MEETING SAT 24th 4PM IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND IN PERSON PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE CAN ARRANGE FOR YOU TO ATTEND VIA ZOOM

06.01.2022 The Warriors FC and the Gascoyne FC have joined forces to put a senior team on the park for the 2020 season. Both Clubs have experienced low numbers at trainin...g and this was seen as the only option to allow those that have been training a chance of playing football this year. Having said that, even with the two Clubs together, we are still short of players. With the season shortened due to COVID-19, it has been proposed that we will play only 4 matches, Exmouth and Ramblers twice. The GFA are confident they can organise some inter-town matches with a combined GFA side playing teams from other towns. This decision was only agreed upon last night, and given the limited time we had to put this together, some details are sketchy and will be released in the coming days. While I understand that not all traditionalist will be comfortable with this announcement, I can assure you it was the only viable option available to us. I hope to see all of our loyal fans down at the oval on 25th July supporting this new team. Ted Schultz Warriors Football Club See more
