25.01.2022 named "The Beatnik", this latest world class creation was just unveiled at the latest 2016 Australian Motorcycle Expo here in Melbourne. 12 months in the making with no set budget, and totally unexpected to all, this Melbourne built bike has defiantly set the standards of the meaning "custom". With photo shoots done, and features being released, we will keep you posted on where the bike will be displayed ............now you know why little Marco is so happy.Santa has come a little early for him! # #gas #gasoline #garage #gasolinegarage #custom #chopper #customchopper #harley #harleydavidson #customharley #beatnik #thebeatnik

23.01.2022 In all engine enhancements and upgrades we perform, our aim is simple. Get the compression ratio where it needs to be, get the fuel in and out as quick as possible and tune for efficiency. Its as simple as that......Do that and you get the most out of the work done. ...Continue reading

23.01.2022 Apart from vehicle restorations, custom component manufacturing, and other specialised projects, maintaining your everyday vehicle to keep you safe on the road is also a big part of what we do. No matter if its a Rav 4 that youve had for a few years, a Jeep thats only a few months old (yes, he bought a Jeep), or even your trusty company car, we look after them with the same love, pride, and attend to their needs just like a guy would to his new girlfriend that hes had for... 2 weeks. Logbook services starts at $189 depending on the vehicle, and it includes an oil and filter change, full vehicle safety inspection, and top-up of all fluids. The only thing we dont do are shortcuts. Awesome customer service comes at no extra cost, and Ive heard the guy taking your phone calls is also quite good looking. Remember to compliment Pedro on his beard to score a free coffee. Safe driving guys :) Eugene

18.01.2022 Cars can park themselves these day, however, we still do it the old school way. Its either on the ground on all fours or even on threes.

18.01.2022 No matter if you ride a custom or standard Harley, the springer front end has probably grabbed more attention than any other front end setup. Harley has been making them since the early 1900s which may tell you something. Everybody loves them because they work so well, and they look fully sick. However, people are not too keen on the gap between the fender and the tyre which is unavoidabletill now. To get around this, some people choose to remove the fender all together, or... run the short original one, which kind of hides the issue. Here at the garage, we like to challenge ourselves. How can we keep a constant low, long fender with minimal clearance to the tyre on a springer front end? The solution was to design and CNC machine a set of custom billet brake/fender support brackets. Crafted from 2 solid pieces of aircraft grade aluminium billet blocks, our brackets pivot off the front axle, holding both the brake caliper and the front fender as one piece. To top this off, we even mounted the fender with hidden bolts. This way, we get the slick springer and slam look. By no means is this an off the shelf item, a lot of love and effort were put into its design and manufacturing, however, the payoff was well worth the sweat and tears (and Im not joking about the tears). Eugene

18.01.2022 LOCO-53 is exactly what this is. One crazy, bad arse 1953 Ford F100 owned by Gasoline Garages’ main Fabricator, John Bulldog Muratti. For those who don’t know Johnny, his bike is Brown Sugar (pictured) and he has stuck out with me from the beginning of the Prozac days, right up until today. Finding people like this, is very rare. A true loyal worker and friend. In this industry, you must have love and passion for it, otherwise your creativeness and skill does not com...e out. Having this, new standards are set and new opportunities are always put forward. Back to Johnny and his latest creation of nearly 10 months. We won’t get into it to much as, as the main feature will be in the mags shortly. We always love taking something that has been produced and basically finish it on how it should have been from the beginning. The biggest thing with this F100 was the roof, the engine, transmission and diff, the front end, rear end and suspension, the electrics, the body and paint...and I think that was about it...which is basically everything. In quick terms, 4 was removed from the roof, the original Y-block came out and a Sweet Cleveland was fitted in front of the sooped up C10 which has all been moved back for best weight distribution. The original king pin with an eye beam front end was sent to Sims Metal and a Mustang II front end was set up. It doesn’t stop there...the rails received a very hard massage and a 4 link rear end with air bags was installed on the now shortened 9 diff. Air bags are also set up at the front with the legal e level set up from Air ride. You can see from the smooth tubbing some serious rubber can be put in should Johnny decide to do a lap down Calder Race track. To top it off, we set up a power steering rack to ensure smooth steering, and for those hot summer night cruisers, air condition with an under dash set up. 20 billet 5 slotters do set the stance especially when its parked. Under the hard lid, well, there is a bit of Mexican stuff going on there. Please note: Flamed pin stripping was layed down by Mat Eagan (awesome job - again) and all other works was done in house so we have no one else to thank - sorry

17.01.2022 While the weather put most people off, for the people that were brave enough to combat it, the grey skies quickly turned blue and Aprils Bike Cruise to Daylesford turned out to be an awesome day. We would like to say thank you to those who came to the garage in the morning to show support and to see the bikes off, and to our friends in Daylesford who turned on their ovens for all the riders. To Peter, Ziad, and staff at Daylesford Fish & Chips, thank you again. With June around the corner, we will be organising the June Ride and will be posting it shortly.

17.01.2022 This man is a Harley Davidson Technician, so we can only show you half of his face. We already have 2 guys with black beards, the boss with half a white one, and now Jake comes along with his ginger beard. With more than 7 years of vigorous training and working at a Harley Davidson dealership, Jake has also joined our team.... With plenty of knowledge, experience and passion for this industry, and with the latest diagnostic tools and equipment, we clearly cover all aspects to an even higher level. We have agreed though, if one shaves, we all shave....

15.01.2022 From what Ive heard, theres more action in a Greek familys kitchen at dinner time, than the fight that took place over the weekend. Regardless, we hope it was enjoyable for those who stayed home to watch it. For those who attended the cruise, the weather couldnt be better, the cruise couldnt be smoother, and the BBQ/Picnic couldnt be more relaxed. From the open road to the Hanging Rock, it really was a grouse day to get away from the daily grind and to stop and appreciate what we have around us. Thank you to our family and friends who attended for making it such a memorable day. Keep an eye out for featured pictures from the day on our website, well be posting them soon.

15.01.2022 A big thank you to everyone for 2015, Gasoline Garage will be closed from Wednesday the 23rd of December 2015, and will re-open on Monday the 25th of Jan 2016. For any queries during our break, you can email us at [email protected].

13.01.2022 Ever wondered how we build a custom bike - start to finish Theres no guess work we can assure you. We are using Jims chopper which is a full custom build. The bikes design is the owners specifications and taste and is full road compliant and is therefore registered as an ICV (Individually Constructed Vehicle). The full build process, in basic terms, is as follows. A CAD drawing is created which is to scale within .01mm. A bit overdone but its how we do it. The CAD draw...ing is based on what our client has asked for. Upon approval of the CAD drawing, we set up our frame jigs to suit and manufacture the frame. Once the frame is made, the complete bike needs to be assembled and set less paint, chrome and wiring. Engine, transmission, primary, front end, rear end, tanks, fenders, exhaust etc all have to be fitted and set. Upon completing this, the bike is stripped and set for paint. Once back, the bike is assembled and prepared for the full engineering requirements for registration. Most times, the bikes dont look to good due to all the required regulations. After the whole engineering process is complete, the bikes are then fully registered and compliant. Seeing this big black chopper in pictures is one thing.....seeing it riding on the road...well thats another thing all together. Nice ride Jim!! See more

12.01.2022 Since we are still on the topic of cool front fenders and braking systems set ups (previous post), check out these brake set ups, we have set up on these 2 customs. People spend thousands of $$$ on wheel and brake packages and in most cases, the wheel pattern, especially on the rear, is hidden because of the disc, caliper, pulley etc. Well....heres another issue sorted for you.... The set up pictured, is still a disc only much smaller and hidden. The disc inside the hub is more than twice the thickness of a conventional disc rotor and the brake pads on either side of the disc are also a full disc pad themselves. Does it work ??? Pedro has run in both of these bikes and claims they stop on a dime...every time......and can even be set up on the rear as well. This has won me over. Im going to ask Pedro if he can do the same set up on my Lexus....... Eugene

12.01.2022 Completed and is being featured shortly, Gasoline Garage's new build, "outta-gas". Built by the leaders, painted by the master. A cool solid rigid, in a class of its own.... Get ready for it !!

12.01.2022 What differs this 2015 FLS 103 to any other?...............................well have a closer look to the front and rear wheels. Yes, you are seeing 23" rims front and rear. Now has that for being different. Owner, Stefan, sure knew what he wanted and knew who could engineer such an ask.... With a mere 120km only on the clock, this is not your average custom modification. The front end is still standard but all the internals have been machined and shorten, so as to sustain the factory ground clearance height, and has been set up to suit the required travel and pre load which is required. The rear end, well thats another story. A new factory looking swing arm had to be engineered and made, which is longer and also has raised axle ends, so as the standard bike ground clearance is maintained. Pre loads to the rear shockers where also adjusted. The bike has been ridden with all the above works completed, so as to attend to any minor re adjustment required prior to paint. So how does it ride with such a drastic change to the factory wheel and tracking settings?.......look out for Stefan this Spring and ask him. Im sure he would love to have a chat about it. Go Stefan!! See more

12.01.2022 FEATURING SHORTLY il bastone, the latest 360 rear full custom completed by Gasoline Garage. Heres a little sneak peek

12.01.2022 130hp gain from a single exhaust system....Do you believe it? Companies that manufacture and develop manifolds, carburettors, heads, etc. spend countless hours and dollars on research and development to improve and sell their products. If it works, it will sell. We have been doing the same thing with our custom exhaust systems. We have been manufacturing custom exhausts and based on the final result, they are selling. We have also developed a full stainless steel, 4.5 round... bodied muffler that we make to any length, and is designed for correct exhaust scavenging and free flow. The outcome an increase in horsepower and torque, its as simple as that. Pictured is Anthonys 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor and as far as a quality car, its up there with the best. Running a stroked injected small block Windsor, with AFR outlaw heads, it was pumping out 260 KW at the wheels on the dyno when it first came to us, which is not bad, but there was something holding it back. No expense has been spared with this car from start to finish. People spend tens of thousands of dollars on engines, manifolds, heads, carbies etc. and when it comes to the exhaust, they fail to see the importance, and just buy whatever is available off the shelf. In most cases that exhaust is just not compatible. The exhaust system is just as important as the carburettor, as the manifold, as the heads, as the cams etc. This Eleanor, like some cars we see, was suffering from asthma, and lucky for the owner, he came to the right doctor. We totally removed the system that it had and manufactured a full stainless steel system to suit. 4 into 1s, in the correct size and length, a 3 mandrel system with an x balance pipe, custom Gasoline Garage 4.5 diameter mufflers, we even manufactured the compatible 3 side pipe tips, all in stainless, all fully tig welded. Results: 98.5 kw gain. Thats right a 132 hp gain. Hows that for an improvement!!!! She now has 485hp on the wheels as a result of a full correct custom exhaust system. Dont believe it...well next time you see this Eleanor muscle car, and the driver has just as much muscle as the car...well thats Anthony, just ask him!!!!!

10.01.2022 Hows this for a classic? Its a 1978 Harley Davidson FLH still with its original factory tinware. This sought-after matching numbers bike came to us for a top-end overhaul as well as a major service. After weve finished with it, this strikingly good looking bike pulls really nicely even with its original old-school ratchet lid 4-speed. Apparently, red wines and George Clooney are not the only things that gets better with age.... Safe Riding :) Eugene

10.01.2022 Hows this for a barn find? Released in 1953, the FJ Holden was the second commercial production model from Holden. With its bold & Americanized styling, toothy bar grill, and an option for two-tone paint, the FJ was many peoples first car, and a new status symbol at the time. This Black FJ was actually from WA that was made for governmental use with extras like interior curtains, not sure about it being bullet proof though, as in those days it probably wasnt necessary. It...s been sitting there for decades before it was purchased by a Victorian and brought to us to bring it back to life. Its seeing cool stuff like this that makes working with my boss a bit more bearable.

09.01.2022 Beatnik broke all the rules, as will "22". Another year, another masterpiece . Art in motion.

07.01.2022 How do you further enhance a car that started the rise of the Rice Burners?.............. Well, this 1979 Mazda RX-7 Series 1 has, from factory, excessive emission restrictions to both the intake and exhaust systems, designed to comply with Japans standards. This means, the RX-7 is as quick as a dog on a leash. Unfortunately, we were forced to remove all the standard sh*t attached to the 12A Rotary Engine, and then reluctantly, we designed and manufactured in-house, a cu...stom intake manifold, and a complete exhaust system that we believe, will remove the leash. Once these bits and pieces are all fitted and set, well be posting more photos.

06.01.2022 Cars come and go, new designs gets overtaken by newer designs every year, and sometime we become complaisant, until we see someone driving down the street in a vehicle that we havent seen in a few decades. This 1962 Holden EK is definitely one of those cars. Before we went to the moon, before the Beatles came to Melbourne, there was the EK. The nostalgia factor and the love and pride they used to put into building these vehicles, makes this a perfect restoration project. Thi...s matching numbers vehicle came to us for a full engine restoration. The objective was simple, make what was once old, new again, and thats exactly what weve done. We pulled out the 138 Grey Motor and striped it to bare, with no components left untouched. Rebuilding and re-balancing each engine component was a time consuming and labourious task, however, we believe this is the correct and only way to fully restore an engine to its former glory. A big thank you to Andrew for giving us this opportunity. Eugene

05.01.2022 True Survivor Restored over 21 years ago, this 1976 LX Torana SS with the A9X options, has sure outlived quite a few vehicles and still looks the same as when in rolled out of the factory. Running the 308, A9X engine specs, the standard m21 4 speed and the Salisbury diff with 3 23s, it is one the cleanest coupes we service and maintain.... In a show of the A9Xs superiority, Brock and Richards won the 1979 race by a record six laps, with Brock setting the touring-car lap record on the last lap of the race. This Torana is lucky enough to have Brockys signature on dash still on. What an awesome Australian muscle car.

04.01.2022 Hows this for American Muscle? This 1970 Chrysler 340 Duster semi-fastback was already performance orientated, and the owner Peter, brought to to us for further enhancements. Our Objective is to get as close to 400hp as possible. Having 3 child seats filling up the back is what makes this car unique, Peter wants be able to turn the key, enjoy the noise, and the drive with the family. This project is close to completion, and we cant wait to share with you guys whats been done to it, stay tuned (pun intended)!

04.01.2022 Bike Feature Request Most of you would have seen this bike featured in magazines and plastered all over the net or even cruising the streets of Melbourne. Its a very talked about bike and has set the standards of top end custom motorcycles. Nick named Brown Sugar, try and convince any client to paint their bike brown and chrome plate nothing. Usually its the other way around, bright colours and full of chrome.... The end result speaks for itself. The non-bling Brown Sugar has a handcrafted rigid frame, along with the gas tank, oil tank, air filter, seat, bars, exhaust, rocker covers, open pulley covers and basically everything which were all lifted faithfully from its conceptual blueprints. Equipped with a Genuine Shovel head engine, 5 speed, electric start, 300 rear, 23 front, we achieved quite a unique, simple & clean look to this old school full custom, that wed like to think is tastefully original. I wouldve posted this sooner, but I just cant stop staring at the pictures, I mean....wow, just look at it! Have a great weekend guys :) Eugene

02.01.2022 Here we have a 1952 Harley Davidson Panhead for all you HD enthusiasts out there. As one of the last rigids that came off the HD line, it was, and still is a sweet ride and is very sought-after. This bike came to us for a major service, and when I say major, I mean 15 hours plus major. The older bikes do need a bit more love and attention due to more areas requiring setting and adjustments, however as you can see, the end result speaks for itself. Looking at this 1200cc bike... with a 4 speed hand shift with foot clutch, and the suspension in the seat pole itself, its like stepping back in time. Its hard to imagine that this bike was built over 60 years ago, but it was, and it really was a privilege to work on. If only my wife looks this good when she hits 60. Ill update you guys in a few decades Eugene
