20.01.2022 In the past 4 months, there has been an increase in complaints in relation to unlicensed gas work. Compliance checks have identified that members of the public... and tradesmen have been carrying out unlicensed gas work. Penalty Infringement Notices (PINS) were issued to offenders for failing to comply with the Petroleum and Gas (Production and Safety) Act 2004. Offences include: Carrying out gas work relating to a gas device (type A) without being the holder of a gas work licence Directing a worker to carry out gas work whilst not being the holder of a gas work licence. Not licensed in gas? It’s not worth the risk.
