Well, did you read the label? Life didn’t come with a label, but you will be told your whole life how you should behave or who you should be. You will be told that if you have a problem, there’s a quick fix you can buy but someh...ow the problem doesn’t ever seem to really go away. Through comedy, stories and song, Jude Perl shares insight into her own personal and relatable mental health struggles, reminding us when to be aware of labels and when they are totally useless. Sometimes labels are super useful, particularly when you’re washing your fave jumper. But at other times, labels can halt your growth and suppress your very existence. Jude reminds us when to be aware of these labels, and when the labels are totally useless and most importantly, that we are not alone. We're truly amazed and feeling the love and excitement for this upcoming project, which we can't wait to share with the public. So here's another sneak peek at another great act we've got lined up for you! Since she can remember, Hazel Bock has always loved being on stage, thriving on making the audience smile and gasp. Aft...er graduating from NICA in 2003, she worked as a freelance artist, delighting audiences at countless festivals, celebrations and corporate events around Australia and across the globe. She performed with established circus companies including four years with the internationally acclaimed Circus Oz, multiple tours with Circus Quirkus and guest spots with Circus Monoxide and CIRCA. Kitty Calvert is a creative partnership between husband and wife Phill Calvert and Julia Brampton. Together they create whimsical assemblage sculptures using upcycled, vintage treasure.We are like recyclers, recycling objects, pairing them with one another and changing their story to our story, or how we interpret what the pieces say to each other Elevating the forgotten into something beautiful. The Collector: The impulse of hunter gatherer is embedded in our genes. Artefacts from the past are the nearest thing we have to time machines. That such pieces survive to tell their stories calls for luck in the long run and quality to begin with. We explore collecting and why it is an important part of history and of the future. Now that our environment is being desecrated for new, reusing the past is ever more important.

En Plein Air is a French expression that means ‘in the open air’ and is most often used to reference the act of painting outdoors with the artist’s subject in full view. 06.01.2022 Lakes Entrance Wild Catch impressed us last month with their incredible range of catch from their cooperative in Eastern Victoria, including Tiger Flathead, Gummy, School Whiting, Ling, Bream, Yellow Eye Mullet, and Prawns. Bellarine Smokehouse are back after a long break with salmon, eel, trout and barramundi, all hot-smoked using local ti-tree. Their pâtés are delicious too, and we're already dreaming of them with a glass of Baddaginnie Run Wines rosé (also back this Sat af...ter a long break). There'll be many more great products to peruse at the Gasworks Farmers Market this Saturday 8am-1pm. As we are still under restrictions, we’re reminding our visitors to adhere to the government regulations around social distancing, the 5km radius from home, and to always wear a mask. For the time being, we kindly ask only 1 member of the family to enter the physical market. Gasworks has parklands separate from the market area that are still open to the public which we encourage other family members to walk around the park while 1 member does the shopping. 05.01.2022 Circus Under The Stars by Red Canvas Productions is coming to Gasworks this summer, which will feature some amazing acts performed on a massive outdoor rigging set in our parklands. Adam Malone is one artist who will be performing some of these acts including trapeze... on his head! Having started his performing career at an early age of 12, Adam stems from a traditional background in circus, and a well-rounded upbringing in gymnastics. Adam is a multi-skilled artist, specia...lizing in Hula Hoops and the elusive Washington Trapeze. Adam brings a wealth of experience and unique talent coupled with a visually creative focus to all his performances as both a soloist and ensemble member, which include various ground and aerial acrobatic acts, drag, dance, musical theatre and physical theatre.
