24.01.2022 We sincerely apologize to anyone affected by the alarm emitting from our school early this morning. We are working with our technical support staff to rectify the issue to ensure this doesn't happen again.

24.01.2022 A shout out to wonderful teachers everywhere, who go above and beyond to make learning come alive for the children they teach. A recent example are these two i...nspirational educators from Guardian Angels School in Wynnum, who made my heart explode with their choice of Book Week costume...and then totally tear up when I heard the story behind it. Mrs Lucas (left) told me... "I loved your book so much; I wrote a 2-week English unit using Jacaranda Magic as my focus text. The kids innovated on your text to create their own Jacaranda Magic stories....and they LOVED it! It just made sense to come dressed as a Jacaranda Tree for Book Week! Thank you for the inspiration." Thank YOU, Mrs Lucas, and all the other amazing, creative, intelligent, above-and-beyond teachers out there! I see you. What you do for our children is so important. Roll on Summer holidays and a well earned rest for you all...perhaps under the shady canopy of your favourite tree!

24.01.2022 Students, come dressed in your ORIGIN colours tomorrow!Students, come dressed in your ORIGIN colours tomorrow!

23.01.2022 This week in Japanese lessons we revisited the story of "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes". The 6th August 2020 marks 75 years since the atomic bomb was dropped on the City of Hiroshima. As we folded our own origami cranes, we reflected on the importance of world peace and a world free from the threat of nuclear weapons. Our origami cranes together make up the word "Heiwa", or PEACE.

18.01.2022 Thank you to Archbishop Mark Coleridge for blessing our Mt Carmel Centre at Wynnum, 105 years to the day the former convent was opened for the Sisters of Mercy.... Our Executive Director Pam Betts welcomed representatives from the Mercy Sisters, including Brisbane Congregation Leader Sr Catherine Reuter to the liturgy, concelebrated by Guardian Angels Parish Priest Fr Serevino Bustamante. They were joined by special guests including State member for Lytton, Joan Pease MP; Australian Heritage Specialists Director Linda Gall, current and former staff at neighbouring Guardian Angels School and BCE Leadership team to mark the milestone, which fell on the Feast Day of Australias first saint, Mary MacKillop. Afternoon tea followed on the veranda, with the Sisters sharing some wonderful memories of their time spent in this richly historical building. Now begins a new chapter for the heritage landmark as a professional learning venue with an unparalleled aesthetic.
