15.01.2022 EOI - Maryborough Story Trail Bronze Artwork Concepts! Fraser Coast Regional Council is looking for creative individuals to develop concepts that will inform a series of bronze sculptures. The completed bronzes will become part of an ongoing project involving the creation of a public arts and cultural trail that links the Heritage CBD and Portside precincts. A key method used to tell Maryborough’s stories in the creation of artworks.... Council seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified artists to produce 5 (five) concept artworks. The completed concepts will become part of the Council’s permanent art collection and may be use for publicity and future interpretative displays/exhibitions. *Applicants are invited to provide: Examples of previous work Artists CV Indicative cost of each artwork (any suitable media) created on ply board, 90cm x 60cm. The selected artist(s) will be required to liaise and work closely with Councils Arts and Cultural Officers. The artists will be provided with historical research that will inform the concepts and also asked to provide an artist’s interpretation. 12.01.2022 EOI - Maryborough Story Trail Bronze Sculptures (Ellena to Alice streets) Council seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified sculptor(s) to produce five (5) bronze artworks. The artworks will be small to medium in size and sit on a concrete plinth to be situated outdoors.... The selected bronze sculptor(s) will be required to liaise and work closely with Councils Arts and Cultural Officers. The artist will be provided with reference material/concept artwork and asked to develop a work plan prior to commencing development of the bronze sculpture. Once the plan has been approved, the artist will be given approval to proceed. The bronze artist must provide regular updates to Council’s Arts and Cultural Officers. This includes progress photos. *Applicants are invited to provide: Examples of previous work Artists CV Cost of previous artworks An estimate for the production of 2 bronze sculptures, approx. 40cm x 20cm. (This is to include all costs associated with producing a finished bronze artwork, including design, production and mount considerations.
