"Do not remove the ancient landmarks" Prov 22.28 This week we continue with the 'Boundaries' theme P4... 10am Sunday / 13 White St "Boundaries" Janis Joplin sung a famous song "Oh Lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz"....a lyric that expresses many peoples yearning to connect with God 'the-great-vending-machine-in-the-sky'. Prayer however, is a vital and pivotal aspect of a vibrant spiritual life. Along with a healthy and varied diet of the words of God they make up a powerful duo that keeps us connected with our Creator. This week in Part 4 of our boundaries series, Ps Steve will describe the importance of these two aspects of the Christian life. We have social groups that meet weekly on Saturdays at 9 am (men's) and fortnightly on Wednesdays at 10.30 am (mixed) See the HUB desk volunteer for more info! 20.01.2022 Hi Gateway community! "Do not remove the ancient landmarks" Proverbs 22.28 This week we continue with the 'Boundaries' theme ... 10am Sunday / 13 White St "Boundaries" Oh you know its real when....someone oversteps your boundaries - that awful silence when you and they know that a line has been crossed! What do you do? how do you deal with that? Part of having boundaries is defining them for yourself, and re defining them for others! Its not being rude its being protective with your life. In a similar way scripture helps us 'define' for ourselves healthy, safe and productive spiritual boundaries for our lives...and when others or Satan 'encroaches' on our God boundary, we give them the palm! and say NO. This week we will continue on the Boundaries theme and start to describe specific areas of importance. This week Ps Steve is back with a great message on 'Boundaries'... 10am Sunday / 13 White St "Boundaries" In a contemporary culture where standards and morals can become 'relative' to the individual's preference - it’s good to know that God's word has standards and boundaries that are timeless and reliable. There is both wisdom and protection in having these 'Kingdom 'fences' intact. Join us Sunday as we review and re draw our lines in the sand as individuals and a church community.
