19.01.2022 Hi Church Family, As your Pastor and on behalf of the Gateway Board and Elders, I wanted to contact you with a fresh update around Stage 3 restrictions. It has been a significant week for so many of us with the new stage 3 restrictions for Geelong and Victoria.... The most important thing that we want to communicate to you is that we will continue to provide services for the church to meet together on a weekly basis. We can confirm that this will be done in the safest way, in-line with the current guidelines and restrictions in place from the Victorian State Health Department and our COVID-safe site plan. How have the new restrictions affected us? From an organisational point of view, our Sunday services will look different. We are now restricted to having a maximum of 5 people on-site to broadcast our services. As you can imagine this changes things a lot! We normally have 6 - 7 people in the worship team, plus camera crew, audio, production and ministry team. We have met with our working team to come up with some creative and inventive ways to make sure that we can continue to connect and be encouraged as a local church. We have been able to leverage the technology that we have onsite to be able to automate almost every aspect of our system except for 2 roles. We will have an audio and production tech onsite along with 2 worship team and a Pastor to minister the Word. One of the things we want to convey is that we thank you for being so understanding and grace-filled during this time. We may have some challenges over the next couple of weeks, this week in particular! Be reminded, our heart is to facilitate a service that we can all come around to worship, lift high the name of Jesus and be equipped for mission. We love you Church. Be Blessed, Pastor Lee
