We are all so happy at Gateway Dental Care to let you know that the Level 3 restrictions imposed by the Dental Board have now been reduced to a Level 2.... We are now open for appointments from: Monday, 8.00am to 4.30pm Tuesday, 8.30am to 5.00pm Thursday, 9.00am to 6.30 pm Friday, 8.30am to 4.30 pm Appointments can be made by phone, email or online As always, we follow the strictest infection control guidelines as outlined by the ADA and in addition due to the Covid-19 we are taking extra measures to protect you, the community and ourselves from this virus. We will ask a series of questions on the phone prior to your visit and you are required to fill out a health declaration upon your arrival. We request that you do not attend if: You are experiencing any flu-like symptoms. You have recently travelled from overseas within the last fourteen days. You are in 14 -day isolation You have been in contact with someone who displays symptoms of Covid-19 We ask that you attend on time to prevent waiting and that you come alone if possible, to reduce crowding of the waiting room. Children can be accompanied by an adult. Level 2 restrictions allows us to offer treatment that is unlikely to generate any aerosol or where aerosol is generated will have the presence of minimal saliva/blood due to the use of rubber dam. We cannot therefore offer ultra-sonic scaling at this time, but we can offer hand-scaling and our hygienist is accepting patients. All treatment that would require a high-speed hand-piece such as fillings may be done under rubber dam, but any surgical extractions will need to be referred to a specialist or deferred. We ask for your patience at this time. Patient appointments will be more spaced, and time extended to allow for these stricter procedures to be placed. The Team at Gateway are here to help you look after your oral health and we will do our utmost to continue providing our service to the dental community as we have done for the last 12 years.
