20.01.2022 Well, it’s a long time since anything went up here, largely because just about the same time as I kicked off Gathered Wagga, I also accepted a brand new job in Sydney. And A LOT has happened in the last two and a half years but one thing that remains unchanged is my interest in building community around a philosophy of meliorism. This whole time I have been churning things over about how Gathered [insert your town name here] can continue. 19.01.2022 Well as is so often the case, our best laid plans and intentions get thrown into turmoil when some crazy twist or turn presents itself in life. And that's just what has happened to me regarding Gathered. I have been offered an awesome opportunity to take up a new position in a fantastic new school. The only problem in regards to Gathered is that this new school is in Sydney. But that doesn't mean the end of Gathered!! We are going to conduct four collections in 2017 - one pe...r school term. With the help of some wonderful people who love the Wagga community as much as I do, we will endeavour to keep this social media social enterprise afloat. Watch this space early in the new year for details of our Term 1 2017 collection. Thanks for your amazing support for the socks and underpants collection for Micah House and I will look forward to achieving more great things with you all in 2017!

14.01.2022 So an amazing thing just happened... I was grabbing a few items in the supermarket when the lovely Penny came up to say hello. She asked how things were going with the socks and underpants collection (she had read about it in the paper) and then said she wanted to contribute, so around we went to the socks and undies section, where she picked out some undies, put them in my basket and then reached into her wallet and gave me the money for them. We stood and chatted for a while and the next thing, a friend of hers walked by and she made him do the same! People are amazing and kind and generous. Wagga is awesome! Thanks to all those secret superheroes out there supporting this venture and making a difference to other people's lives.

01.01.2022 The August Drive for Share the Dignity is just a few days away. Throughout the month of August, you can donate sanitary items at drop off points all across Australia. These items will be distributed to charities that support women and girls and generally stay in your local area. So what are you waiting for??
