04.01.2022 What a special day it is today ! Today we received this wonderful donation of Indigenous artwork from Serco Correctional Services Spring Creek. This special piece of art was created by some of the inmates at the centre for our Community Sensory Garden. ... The piece not only showcases the talent of the artists it tells a special story of how the traditional owners of our land and people are connected to the earth. It tells how indigenous and non-indigenous people now share this special land of our region, land how the land and the people work together in harmony to produce nourishment. We are so very grateful and humbled to have this special artwork created specially for our sensory garden space. We will now work on installing this piece soon so it will be on view for everyone to enjoy when visiting our Community Sensory Garden @ Lockyer Community Centre 14 Crescent St. Gatton.
