02.01.2022 This year for Gaucher Awareness Day the focus is on home infusion. Jennie has given us permission to share her story. In keeping with our theme Together We Are Stronger we acknowledge that it’s the patients, family, health professionals and the community that keep us strong! #IGD2020 #RareButNotAlone #HomesNotHospitals I have been having home infusion for about fifteen years. This form of treatment enables me to travel, volunteer etc with very few restrictions. Whilst keeping my Gaucher’s disease under control. There is however a team of people behind the scenes that make this possible. Starting with Richard the nurse in Townsville that suggested that I could do this from home. My specialist and the life saving drugs people who ring to see where I require my next delivery to be sent to
