22.01.2022 NO DOG WALKS TODAY Tuesday November 10th, 2020 Due to extreme heat and the late afternoon prediction of gusty winds and a chance of thunderstorms, along with fire warning, no Dog walks will be done today. Please make sure your Pets have plenty of water, shade and if possible keep indoors. It was already over 30c at 8am this morning, along with yesterday which was very warm so the pavements will be scorching and can burn their gentle paw pads.......Please take extra care and remember keep hydrated........Stay safe......Nannyx

21.01.2022 There may be some fireworks tonight for the New Year Eve celebrations in Gawler and Northern Adelaide. Please check your Pets microchips are active and up to date. Make sure that collars are on, and registration tags are up to date. Ensure gates and fences are secure. Keep Pets calm by keeping them with you or with a blankie or favourite toy. If they are on their own, please leave a TV or radio on to help eliminate the sound. Try and keep Cats inside and if your Pet has anxiety and is on medication ensure you have enough medication for tonight........Nannyx

20.01.2022 Please be careful this Christmas Season when choosing gifts for your Dogs. PLEASE LEAVE THEM IN THE SHOPS RAWHIDE PRODUCTS The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.... Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulphide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell. Now comes the pretty festive colours and the glue to form cute shapes. They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog. Please be safe with your dogs!
