18.01.2022 I am putting this on the GDSA page as many people would know Bernadette Henson (Bernie) from many years at Bluejays Softball Club Message sent from Elizabeth Henson: ‘Just thought I'd let you know that mum is in the Royal Adelaide Hospital at the moment. She's in ICU. Went on Monday night. She has multiple organ failure (lungs, kidneys and liver). Things were looking pretty bad yesterday but she seems to have made an improvement overnight. Not out of the woods but certainly b...etter than yesterday. They said that things can go up and down in these situations but hopefully things keep getting better! She's on dialysis for her kidneys. And they still haven't figured out why her lungs are failing. But they don't seek to be too concerned about that at the moment. They're more concerned about her liver. But as I mentioned, she is showing signs of improvement on that front. Just thought I'd let you know. Not sure if you wanna let the other softball folk know as well? Fingers crossed!’ Our thoughts and support and love are with Bernie and her family at this time.

14.01.2022 In 2020 we stepped into the box to start the play. We didn't expect so many curveballs to be thrown our way. We fouled them off and came back to the plate. Then we had the lockdown that made us wait. No handshakes or high fives but we still stick together.... Just waves and QR codes but hopefully not forever. Now that this year is finally done. Let's hit a home run in 2021. Happy New Year! Veg President GDSA
