24.01.2022 Congratulations to the Head of Gawura, John Ralph who received a prestigious ACEL NSW Leadership Award on Friday night at a virtual award ceremony. John is a dedicated teacher and leader and this award is so well deserved.

21.01.2022 Gawura started dance lessons today. These are on every Wednesday this term as we prepare for NAIDOC Week celebrations. Thanks so much to the donors who made this possible.

21.01.2022 Year 5 had a great day on a field trip to the Royal National Park. Kailan, Djillirra and their teacher Ms McGrath had a fantastic time with their buddy classes from SACS bush walking, playing games, building habitats for animals and canoeing.

18.01.2022 Last week years 5 and 6 were treated to a special lunch at Grill'd who are wonderful supporters of Gawura. Once term 4 starts Year 6 will spend most of their time with their Junior School buddy class as they transition into secondary school. Where has the time gone?!?

14.01.2022 What a way to end the term!! Congratulations to Gawura award winners who have achieved greatness in term 3. The winners of awards for excellence in class, Wiradjuri and Christian Development are Yuin, BJ, Graham, Maya, Zavier, Talaara, Annie and Kailan.

14.01.2022 On 22 April Gawura morning reading will start back with volunteers. We're so grateful to all of the SACS school staff - both teaching and admin, who helped Gawura students when we couldn't have external people come in. Your assistance was so appreciated.

10.01.2022 A huge thank you to Qantas and Mark Kelly, for the major prize donated at this year’s Gawura event. This week our two generous auction winners took the to the skies in the B747 Simulator Flight. Nicola and Sally were ‘star students’ and if only the B747 hadn’t been taken out of the fleet they would ready to fly off around the world. We thank Mark for his generous support of Gawura over so many years. Mark is also retiring this week and we wish him well.

08.01.2022 Thanks to Johnathan Thurston and the JT Academy for including our Head of School, John Ralph in a JTLeadership Educators Workshop. The JT Academy does amazing work providing employment opportunities, and community & well-being programs. JT was an amazing footballer and is an all round great guy who gives so much to the community.

08.01.2022 Our secondary students participated in a wonderful session today on kinship with Daisy from Walanga Muru - Macquarie University We're so grateful to Daisy for coming in , especially when we can't go out on excursions right now. Thanks to Macquarie University for this wonderful program supporting cultural learning and preparing students for the exciting years of schooling ahead.

06.01.2022 It's such a hot day, but that hasn't stopped our fantastic Gawura runners excelling at the Cross Country carnival. Congratulations to Annie who came first in 10 year old girls. A big congrats too to Tilly who came second and Talaara who came second in 9 year old girls. Amazing running!!!

04.01.2022 It's not the nicest weather in Sydney, but year 3 and Mr Kirk had a great time doing to the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk today.
