25.01.2022 Today, on the anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, we commemorate Vietnam Veterans' Day. The Vietnam War involved more than 60,000 Australian troops over a period of 10 years; until recently, it was the longest conflict Australia had ever been involved in. A great turnout today to commemorate at Gaythorne RSL.... Lest we forget.

17.01.2022 Today is Vietnam Veterans Day, and like every year the Gaythorne RSL sub branch conduct a solemn ceremony to recognise the contribution of 60 000 Australians wh...o served. 521 made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation, and 3000 came back wounded. Keperra local Kevin Irwin was guest speaker and reflected on the contribution the RAAF made during the conflict as a former serving member of the Air Force. I laid a wreath on behalf of Brisbane City Council and the residents of the Enoggera Ward. Lest We Forget.

17.01.2022 The Club Courtesy bus is returning on Thursday 3rd December. The bus will be available for local pickup and drop-offs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights ONLY from 4pm, and continuing each hour until 8pm. The Club bus will run within a limited radius of the Club. Due to Covid-19, new measures will be in place. These include: - Bus radius map (see map below) - Physical distancing on the bus... - Reduced capacity on the bus - Covid cleaning in place - If you are feeling unwell, please remain at home.
