22.01.2022 Want to learn how to spot Platypus ... or is it platypi, or platypodes or platypuses ... ? Whatever the word, if you are a community member in Warrnambool, Hami...lton and Timboon we need your keen eyes to spot them, and rakali! Learn valuable visual monitoring techniques to spot platypus and rakali (native water rat) then try out your new monitoring skills in the field. Dog walkers, fisherman/women, wildlife watchers of any age, everyone is encouraged to come along. Warrnambool - Fri 30th April 6.00pm (plus site visit Saturday 1st May 7.30am) Hamilton - Sat 1st May 1.45pm (plus site visit from 4.30pm) Timboon - Sun 2nd May 1.45pm (plus site visit from 4.30pm) Go to www.ghcma.vic.gov.au/events to find the online registration links for each location. Brought to you by MAD for the Merri and Australian Platypus Conservancy (Official) Supported by Wettenhall Environment Trust@wettenhall_enviro and Warrnambool City Council * Just to end the arguments: The accepted plurals of Platypus is Platypus (like sheep and deer) and Platypuses.
