24.01.2022 What does your body need? When we’ve been unwell we tend to slip back into everyday life without acknowledging that we haven’t fully recovered yet, making the recovery process much longer. Does this sound familiar to you? We’re all too busy for rest and recovery right?? Wrong! ... For optimum recovery we must listen to our bodies needs and deliver. This means we should tune in carefully to our physical, mental and spiritual needs. For me that was a 30minute flow, mobilising my joints, stretching out areas where I hold tension, stress and anxiety and getting blood circulating. So, what does your body need? 08.01.2022 A very sweaty AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) this morning! 10 x push ups 20 x kettle bell swings 20m walking lunges 10 x tricep dips ... 10 x box jumps We got 7 rounds in! Finished off with a run around this beautiful park and of course some core strength!

06.01.2022 Allow me to introduce myself My name is Gina & I enjoy long walks with my dog Harley. I’ve always had a love for exercise and fitness and the way it affects our mind and body in so many positive ways. ... I’ve had some pretty shitty office jobs and have worked in pubs and bars since I was 18, this combined with pain and stiffness in my joints caused me to lose myself and my passion for exercise as it wasn’t comfortable anymore. After a period of stress and anxiety from quitting a job I thought would be my career but turned out to be the complete opposite, I decided I needed to figure out what I truly wanted to do with my life! So, I enrolled at the @ausinstfitness in Newcastle and that’s where my journey began! From day dot my classmates and incredible coaches guided me through every step of the way and my passion to learn more only grew stronger. I now have a vision of the person, the coach and the roll model I would like to be for my clients and everyone in my life. I have learnt to not let pain or injury hold me back from getting that endorphin rush we all crave! Here’s to new beginnings, welcome aboard

03.01.2022 Vegan protein chia oats! - 1/4 cup of rolled oats - 1 Tbsp chia seeds - 150ml almond milk (or milk of choice)... - 1/2 scoop of vanilla or strawberry pea protein (or protein of choice) Mix above ingredients together & refrigerate for at least 2 hours (can be left overnight!) Once firm add the fancy bits! - 1/2 banana - Tbsp granola - Tbsp coconut yoghurt - Handful of fresh or frozen berries This was my post workout snack... I may have also had one for breaky I like to make 3-4 servings at a time so when I’m craving something tasty and nutritious I can grab one and GO Happy long weekend! Be safe and remember to tell your friends and family you LOVE them!
