08.01.2022 As many of our clients now know we are aware that people have been gaining access to our yard at night and stealing bags of cans, taking them home and then presenting these bags back to us and we have paid for them again! Return and Earn is certainly NOT a money spinner for us, it is more of a pain. However it allows us to employ one more person in our very struggling community, it cleans up our town and our roads, it is cash income for many households for essential items so... we have continued to operate for the benefit of the community. Given this new knowledge of fraudulent behaviour from a selected few in the community a reconciliation of the scheme is being conducted. RETURN & EARN will now be CLOSED until this is completed and the people who have done this contact me. Initial figures suggest this has happened on a larger scale than first expected but only in more recent times and as such has left us hugely out of pocket. If you know anything about it please pop around to their house as let them know how you feel about this service now being closed because of their selfishness. If you are one of the people who has done this I want to speak with you. I have some names, they are yet to speak with me regarding what they know about it all. I am also happy to speak to anyone with any further information about it. 06.01.2022 Due to the extraordinary amount of containers brought it we will not be able to accept any more containers until next week. We hope to have a new container by then and we will look to opening on Monday to cater for the additional containers We apologies for this inconvenience. Steve

03.01.2022 GBC Building has been working very hard to make alternative arrangements, impose new rules and meet staff changes in an effort to re open return & earn. We were on track to open next week but due to COVID19 we will not be re opening this service until we have advise it is safe to do so. GBC Building encourages everyone to practise social distancing and personal hygiene as we are scared for our community if this terrible virus was to raise its super ugly head in our shire. Please take this virus very seriously and protect one another in these extremely uncertain times.
