Now seems as good a time as any to announce that GBD Productions will be touring this opera in May 2021. This will follow our 2020 productions of Don Pasquale, The Bendigo Nightingale and La Cenerentola. Stay tuned for details!

06.01.2022 In the light of today’s announcement by the Premier, we are taking the inevitable step of postponing our production of Don Pasquale until 2021. Be assured that the production will go ahead when the circumstances permit. But we must place the safety of the community and our company first. Our singers are keener than ever to perform for you, and these setbacks, though frustrating, make us all the more determined.... See you in 2021! In the meantime, stay safe, wash your hands, wear a mask when out of the house and know that we miss you!

02.01.2022 As Victoria emerges from its lockdown, GBD Productions is looking towards a more productive 2021. Delighted to announce that in late 2021, a concert that highlights La Boheme - both the Puccini and the rarely heard Leoncavallo - will be performed in Melbourne and regional areas. Tracking down various editions of the Leoncavallo has proved challenging but with the help of musicologists and antiquarian music stores around the globe, we have all the source material we need! Stay tuned for details!

01.01.2022 Introducing Trevor Mills who will be singing the role of The Notary is our Don Pasquale tour. Trevor brings a wealth of experience to the role and is a very welcome addition to the company.
01.01.2022 A COVID-19 Update for DON PASQUALE Like all performing groups, GBD Productions has been following the COVID-19 situation with interest. Based on the best information available to us, we are confident that we will be able to resume rehearsals in late August, with a view towards commencing our tour on 24 October. Obviously we are aware that its an evolving situation, but the health and safety of our performers and our audience will always be paramount, and we intend to abide by... whatever restrictions are in place at the time. It is possible that we will have to limit the audience numbers based on the size of the venues. I would recommend that bookings be made online to avoid disappointment. Our season of Rossini's La Cenerentola has been moved to May/June of 2021, and our second season for 2021 will be Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte. Sadly, our production of Donizetti's La Fille du Regiment, which was scheduled for 2021, has had to be cancelled, though we hope to be able to present this wonderful work in the future.
