03.01.2022 Not much surf this weekend so here’s a little history lesson. 1st pic is Dick & Joan Garrard sharing a wave at Torquay in the late 1940’s. 2nd pic is Dicks grandson Paul, owner and founder of Gboards. Dick and Joan started one of Torquay’s great surfing families. Four generations of Torquay surfers ( their roots run deep) that now sees 4 grand kids and 9 great grand kids hitting the waves at spots Dick snr was one the first to surf. Ever wondered why Gboards are called Gboards? Because of a bloke named Garrard #letgboardstakeyousurfing
